I think if I was a manager I would be wanting Joe to go in and win that ball against Hearts and thats exactlly what he done.

The only mistake Ledley made in the tackle was allowing his left leg to come around once he had won the ball, it made the tackle look like it was worse than it was.

Straight red.
Both feet off the ground in scissors motion, regardless of whether he got the ball, that's not on, he could've really hurt the guy. -

- you'll never walk alone
players have gotten away with wirse, i think before all the fuss down south about hard tackles he may off gotten away with it and if a heatrs man tackled one of our players like that id be lookin for them to walk. he did win the ball but it was a silly thing to do. shame cause he has been great.

Haven't seen it yet but there is a definite split in opinion from people I've spoken to today.
Needless to say it's never a doubt when it comes to the official deciding the matter against Celtic. -
Wasn't even a booking but the fact his left leg follows through means you couldn't have grumbled at a yellow.
His left leg is underneath his backside when his right foot makes contact with the ball, how that can be deemed a 2 footed challenge I'm not sure. If that's a straight red then we're in for a season of 9 v 9. -
Yellow card for me. It was a bad tackle that injured the Hearts man but I do think he was going for the ball. My decision would have been a yellow and a final warning.
-
Yellow card at most for the second leg coming round after he won the ball.
-
Don`t see where this two footed challange has come from, when you see the replay his leading leg wins the ball and the other is bent at the knee and only straightend after the tackle. The only two footed challange last night was Michael Essien in the Chelsea game in which he was rightly red carded for.
Never a red card -

I'd have had no problem with a yellow card for that challenge..
wasn't the worst decision made all night though.. The penalty we never got was 100% the wrong call..
Danny shouldn't have been booked for protesting that Wilson had his shirt pulled at the free-kick incident that Hearts got that they shouldn't have done..
Later in the game Maloney could easily have gotten a yellow and Sammy could have been off though..
CH67 claimed a throw-in that Hearts were given when the ball came of a Hearts player , a couple of feet from where the linesman was standing , yet he indicated a throw to them (the same linesman who never saw the penalty) was the worst decision of the match (accusations of blatant bias I mean).. -
Yellow card and a ticking off for me... He went in like a train and did make contact, but he got the ball cleanly first... It was the old classic 'get the ball and clean out the man' challenge... Problem is that in this day and age they no longer care if the ball is taken... I understand why the ref sent him off, but think we should appeal it...

Don't even think it was a foul.

Sorry but it was a red card the ref made a few mistakes during the game but he got this 100% correct for me.

Defo a Red... Got to look past the fact he's one of our players if that tackle happened to one of our own i would be going off my nut at the TV and wanting him sent off.

Wasn't even a foul. Shocking decision.
