For me he won the ball but he did go in a bit gung-ho, I wouldn't have argued with a yellow but it's definitely not a red.

I'd put Sammy's tackle before Ledley's in terms of a red card situation.

Ah right, if the BBC describe as that then that must be what it was. The Scottish Hun also desribed it as such, they're always known to tell the truth and be impartial eh ?

The "conspiracy theory" as you put it is based on years upon years of institutionalised bias and cheating.

I am well aware that Lennon's tactics and formation were absymal, I have already said as much.

It's ridiculous to show a still image of the event and argue your point using that. Everyone has aready seen the video in slow motion, and most people have made their mind up that it wasn't even a free kick, or at most a yellow card.

It wasnt even a free kick but soon as he gave the free kick you knew he was going off as he went in full heartedly and made sure there was only one winner & i feel refs at the moment think its uncontrolled and indangers opponents. There taking out one of the dying arts in the game as a good hard tackle like that galvanises the support and gets them off his feet

sorry but in todays game it was a free kick, i did post somthing about this before 5 years ago that would have been a yellow card, 10 years ago mabe just a ticking off or not even a free kick

in todays game tackles like that will always but punished by a red card because of the lung and also the left leg going through and taking the man and again it ends up a 2 footed challage

and as ive pointed out a few times, means a red card

Thats the problem because at the rate we are going any hard tackle is going to be outlawed completely

yeah but people still think oh its not a red card or yellow never mind free kick

facts are the game has changed and the letter of the law (said this a few times now) is a red card for a 2 footed tackle

don't get me wrong i think its a shame tackle like that are not allowed but the thing you have to remember is players are alot faster, and thats when you see these bad breaks, mabe thats why fifa and so on are trying to stamp out these types of tackles

but again the rules say red card no matter what we think or say still a red card

I would say a yellow card at worst but he played the ball so I thought it was a good tackle.
