Was never a red was an absolute shocking decision.
Anyone who thinks that was a red card explain to me what would you want ledley to do in that situation? from the angle he was running at and ian black (who has a cheek as he dives in proper 2 footed all the time) had over ran the ball. It was there to be won but given the angles ledley had to slide in that way no malice in the challange and took the full ball before touching the player.
Next point we were told when DUTD keeper two footed took out hooper but then got touch on the ball were told this was fair no penalty?

if it was a tackle from behind then defo a red but no way from the side , its a contact sport and a mans game.

I personally thought no booking, yellow at a push. The contact is made with his right leg and the left leg comes through with his motion. Never a red card.
I thought Sammys challenge later on in tbe game he got booked for was worse than Ledleys.

    Definitely a red.

If it was Lee McCulloch taking out our midfielder, we would be demanding a red, and barred for life.

Doesnt matter who made the tackle. Straight red

never a red he played the ball and his studs were never showing to the player he tackled i thought it was a quality tackle he never jumped at the player . end of story. it was just a bad decision from the ref. who took the opertunity to make sure we would loose the game.

Can someone post up the photo from the evening times.
It makes black look even more culpable than Lesley.

I'm absolutely amazed at some folks perception of this incident.

His studs aren't up, it wasn't 2 footed, it wasn't from behind, it wasn't mistimed, he did get the ball, he did time it right and the only thing he can be pulled up on is the fact he brought his trailing leg through after the ball was away.

That's our managers perception of it who was standing 6 feet away and that's exactly how it is after watching it 50 times.

Anthony Stokes deserved to be sent off in the game against the huns for a shocking tackle on Papac, Samaras should have walked last night for at least 4 stupid and wreck less lunges with the ball nowhere near him, you couldn't have grumbled if Hooiveld walked for his but Ledleys is no way in a million years a straight red card offence.

I'm astonished so many people are adamant it was a red card.

Any Celtic supporter who believes this was a red card needs their heads checked.

Think it was a red card, debatable though, I thought it was two footed.
If you watch his left foot then he does take the back of the player's leg, he did make contact on the ball though, but * the player after it.

Watching some of the replays, especially the one from behind black u can actually see black is the one who goes into the tackle two footed. I thought it was a hard tackle but a good one. The Ref couldn't get his card out quick enough.

Don't talk rubbish. It was a straight red card for violent conduct. Scissors kick which could have broke his leg. There are 40 of us already.

i genuinely can't see where this 'scissor kick' or 'two footed lunge' is coming from - i can't see it

I know he won the ball, i seen it at the game, ive watched the replay loads of times since.

It wasnt even a * foul.

Soon as both feet leave ground makes decision easy for ref's regardless of outcome

The thread in itself speaks volumes... If people here cant decide after repeatedly watching the footage it's time to move on. The Ref made a split second decision which isn't even cut and dry after reviewing it.. Time to move on IMO
