100% agree with you! He won the ball with his right foot but his momentum took his left leg around the player and made it look like a 2 footed tackle!

won the ball; yes it was a hard robust challenge which perhaps merited a booking at most, but that wee * Black made it look like a leg breaker then a minute later hes on his feet! truely annoys me that scottish football prides itself on being hard yet Ledley gets sent off for a hard tackle, ref couldnt get the red out quick enough

another game changing decision against us, yes we were below par, or indeed * in the first half but its wrong just to assume we wouldnt have won anyway or at least equalized with 11 men on the pitch, thats a media tactic used to justify another dubious call

Nonsense, although it's a shame that Black didn't break his leg, horrible wee hun * that he is.

In fairness Ian Black is a dirty wee * whoever he plays and that includes the huns, who he regularly tries to kick off the park as well.

That's all by the by though because Ledley won the ball fair and square and even the player who was tackled admits it.

Look at these stills and try and tell me it was a straight red.

Neither of his feet are showing studs, nor is it a 2-footed lunge. He takes the ball with his right foot and his trailing leg, by the laws of nature, followed through. It wasn't even a * foul yet people on here are adamant he 'scissor kicked' him - *?

even before the ref has got the card out you can see Ledley reacting to , what I expect , was the free-kick being signalled by a linesman.. he's expecting play to continue..

That hun * of a ref could not get his card out quick enough.

Just realised that Maloney kept the ball in play, wasn't even a throw in! How eager was Thompson to get his card out, he'd been waiting for that all game, hun *.

I think its a hard yellow, but I don't think the red was woefully out of order to be honest. If the referee was so much against us Jos would be off to, but because Maj is slightly behind or parallel to him the ref only gives a yellow

Seeing the replay is enfuriating :31:

He didn't even take a second to ponder his decision, he went right to his top pocket the minute he noticed that Ledley had went to ground. Absolute joke of a decision however you look at it.

A brilliant tackle ruined by a completely inept referee. As Lennon said if this guy is the cream of the crop we are *.

So what are you trying to say ? That Craig Thomson deliberately sent off Joe Ledley for nothing in front of 30,000 fans and a global TV audience.Thomson was right in front of the incident, he saw it clearly, there was no doubt in his mind that it was an ordering off offence. He has a SFA Observer watching him from the stand.Thomson is a UEFA listed referee. He will have been well aware
of the spotlight on him due to the recent controversies. I am not defending him, I am only pointing out the facts, however do you think honestly he would try to be dishonest in all those circumstances and expect to get away with it ?

Celtic are not even appealing the incident. What does that tell you ?

Even if he didn't 'deliberately' sent him off then he has still made a game changing mistake

the bit in bold - i think that speaks volumes about the SFA, not Celtic. An appeal is pointless, it will be thrown out and im sure the club has to pay to make an appeal.

You are one naive person, you really are. Where have you been the past few weeks ?!!?

It tells me that Celtic are utterly spineless.

Did you even look at the stills I posted ?

Yes I saw your stills but stills don't tell the whole story as you probably know.
The BBC described the tackle by Ledley as a " Horror Lunge ". How was it game changing as such ? We were already chasing the game at 0-1 down. It was reckless of Joe Ledley IMO to lunge at a player in full flight with the ball right in front of the referee. Maybe Ledley should learn how to tackle properly and play the smart game instead of putting himself out on a limb like he did. Anyway we got "A get out of jail card " from Hib's pounding of Rangers. We did not play well against Hearts. I was aghast when I saw Lennon's line up with Samaras on the wing and Stokes on the other wing. It was an accident waiting to happen.I am not buying into this conspiracy theory on the basis of this one incident. I would rather we looked at our own shortcomings on the night, because we were well beaten by Hearts.

Joe Ledley has criticised referee Craig Thomson’s decision to send him off in Celtic’s 2-0 midweek defeat to Hearts. The Welsh midfielder was shown a straight red for a lunge on Ian Black, one of two pivotal decisions in the fixture which infuriated Hoops boss Neil Lennon.

Ledley went in two footed on Black as he came across to win the ball from the Hearts man, as the home team broke up the park on the counter. Ref Thomson then indicated to captain Shaun Maloney that was the reason for his team-mate’s dismissal, as the Celtic bench launched into a tirade against the fourth official.

As chaos ensued, Ledley watched on bewildered at the decision and, two days after the defeat, says he feels the wrong call was made and even has the man he tackled to back him up.

“I couldn't believe it when the ref sent me off,” Ledley told the Scottish Sun. “I thought it was a fair challenge. I spoke to Ian after it and even he told me I got the ball.
