Well done to everyone who took the time to issue a complaint to the BBC – they received over 800.
I’m pleased to hear the club is equally furious and will demand answers about such lies.
Trying to equate romantic ballads of Irish freedom (given the seal of approval by Her Maj, incidentally) with songs about sectarian genocide is delusional and offensive.
The irony is; the erroneous categorisation of Irish songs as being sectarian, is just another manifestation of anti-Irish bigotry in Scotland.
Only in Scotland does this become such a tiresome issue. In the same way only in Scotland would a GK blessing himself be such an issue.

I seriously hope we rinse the BBC good and proper. What a bunch of idiots! -
McLean and Nevin should both be sacked over this..
-
Can't wait to see the Beeb's response. Their pundits obviously don't know * about sectarian singing if they think the Irish National Anthem and BOTOB are sectarian songs.
-
I bet more than 800 contacted them  I couldn't believe it when they said it live on air.......felt totally sick! You could see Rob McLean and Nevin could hardly contain their excitement! Big Johns body language spoke volumes.........you could see him taking a mental step back like he was letting us know guys I've got nowt to do with this! I actually like Pat Nevin up until that point and I can't believe he stuck it to us on air! I think it was payback because Celtic refused to take part in their documentary. It was like we never recorded you singing but we're going to let the world know you do it whether we catch you in the act or not :31:

great! celtic sticking up for them selfs:icon_mrgreen:

So we definitely sang no sectarian songs?
I never heard it I actually missed them commenting on it. Toilet break probably.
Aslong as they're proved to be non sectarian then there should be no problems. I know people who would assume both songs were sectarian. -
Had 2 well fans in work, who were at the game, tell me they were puzzed at the BBC's comments when they read about it in the paper today.

I can't wait for the response, absolutely loving the way Celtic are challenging everything that is wrongly going against the club, our manager or the supporters. We're refusing to be walked over.

We need the club to stand up to the media as no matter how any supporters complain the media will ignore them.
Great feeling of unity from the fans, players, management and board as was evident when they joined in the huddle. -
