Completely hypothetical of course, but imagine that City or Liverpool or another big English side came calling for Griffiths this summer.
They fancy the idea of having a player in his mid 20's who's just hit 40 goals in a season in their squad, and want to know what it'll take for Celtic to do business.
Griffiths has already agreed to the move in principle, and is getting a shitload of cash in wages, so that's all sorted.
Just the asking price now. What do you feel is fair valuation for him in today's market?

Ajax got 35 million for Milik who has done * all in his career, don't see why we should demand anything less for Griff to be honest. Obviously we would let him go for 15 million surely :38:
-
I went for £10 million minimum. When you see what McCormack went for you have to figure that Griffiths is at that level at least.

10 mil minimum.
-
Think he is worth 5-7 million.
-
We'd never get anything like £10 mil, regardless of whether you think he's worth it or not I just can't see an SPL striker going for that much.

Id drive the * to which ever team wanted him and pay the club £23 and a pack of skittles to take him. He's a wee rat who racially abused Skacel, he cant hold the ball up, his build up play is * that assist to Sinclair was pure luck the other day he should of played it earlier, its not as good as Guidetti's or Hoopers, never scores in Europe and his finishing is *. 40 goals isn't good enough for me should of scored at least 80 last season, Hooper and Guidetti would of, infact Fortune would of bagged at least 60 last year.
Wee thumb head *, embarrassment to our club. -

As he is now? About £5 million IMO.
£5 million? Seriously? You'd be happy if he left the club for £5 million?
From us, 9-12million.
If he played in holland, Germany, italy, france, 25million.
If he played in England with half those goals 45million.
Realistically at the level he is and if we were to buy him, 5-6million.

Sorry, Dáibhí, I should have read the question more carefully. I think he's currently worth about £5 million but not in the English market! In the EPL market he's probably worth almost £10 million with the prices they pay for strikers.
To be clear: for us looking in the smaller, less fashionable markets I'd expect to pay around £5 million for a striker of his age and quality; but I'd expect an EPL side to be charged nearer £10.

Jordan Ibe went for 15 million, Griff should go for the same he's a goalscorer Ross McCormack cost 12 and he scored 20+ last season
Bear in mind that he's on a five year contract and we don't actually want to sell, and he's not angling for a move.
I'm asking how much you'd take to actually ship him out.

£3-5million.
If the bigger teams in England were interested them obviously >£10million
I think he's worth at least £10m to Celtic. Whether he'd be worth that for another team is up for debate, but if an offer of less than £10m came in for him we'd be right to decline.

I wouldn't sell him for any money. We can't replace him on our budget. A striker of his age and quality would cost at least £5 million and even then they surely wouldn't bring his attitude and work rate.
