is it?
we should sell, sell, sell according to some people
ok we got pumped but its happened before and will happen again.most teams take a few tankings and we're not above teams from holland and the likes imo
even though last week we looked great,we had unearthed a few gems in kayal,juarez,majstorovic...but now there all *
and sorry if this is in the wrong place :shamrock:

Too true mate, the wheels are off for some folk, we will bounce back
-
Totally agree with this. Knee * reactions I think. Before last night we were apparently "world beaters" beating a poor St Mirren side and now we have this after the Utrecht game. There is no middle ground.
Keep the faith, we will win the league!! -
-
it's not an over reaction in any way in fact it's the expected reaction at getting battered by an average dutch side.

-
its not an over reaction we shouldnt be losing to second rate dutch and portugese teams anytime

So it is acceptable that while Lennon being manager, we have lost every game that has really meant something?
Ross County, Braga, Uterecht.
Of course some of the blame lies with the players, but that was Lennon's job to sort out the men from the boys and have a team that 'went to war' everytime they went on the field. His words. Where the * was all that last night, every single player looked terrified everytime they got the ball! Some war.
The only thing that seems different from last season is we have a * keeper now. The defense and strikers are still woeful. Lennon's fault. And unforgivable imo. -
we lost to artmedia and went on to do ok but
and we won the last old firm game of last season...that mattered a bit.for pride -

Very much so, you would like it was 2012 the way somepeople were acting.

Par for the course. It's starting to * me off about Celtic fans tbh almost as much as getting beat 4 nil.
There is absolutely no sense of perspective, we were beyond dreadful last night but that doesn't explain the amount and level of abuse. It goes beyond an individual match and the knives get drawn about absolutely everything. Sack the board? Seriously? -
Complete over reaction. Is this gony happen every time we get beat of a scottish side who are all "second rate" including us. There 2nd goal I didnt think was a pen, Also that guy should have been sent off for headn Brown. Both incidents could have changed the game. It was a poor show, but we had no luck at all

i just don't think its an over reaction at all. We got battered last night and didn't even mount a single notable attack. Some of us have pride in supporting celtic and that pride was severely smashed to pieces by a average dutch side. The players deserve everything they get especially when they come out in the papers every second day raving about themselves.

would a new board, selling half out team etc really help?with a few days left of the transfer window.we just have to get back up and get on with it -

We have been getting some terrible reactions to one bad game, lets see what there saying when we win the title. :icon_mrgreen: -
I have to say that last night was one of the worst DISPLAYS i've ever seen my team put in, showing absolutely no fight or passion as they laid down to the opposition, but I agree about perspective! Can't see that being the standard we'll play at more than a handfull of times over the whole season, and i expect we'll smash most SPL teams!
Hate to seem like i'm making excuses, but I think that there was a couple things that played a major part:
1) Ref was attrocious! The lads were scared to put a boot anywhere near the opposition players, and the penalties killed us!
2) The team seem terrified when they travel abroad! Dunno how this can be fixed without a good resounding win, but the media hype and the pressure at away games is miles worse for us than most other teams, even if they have harder opponents!
3) Why the * didn't we park the bus? Play a * boring 5-4-1, with the midfield right in front of the defence! Attrocious to watch, but we'd already done the hard work at home! Why keep throwing away our advantages? Not like we even got a shot away anyway, might as well have made it nigh on impossible for them to recover from our home leg! We needed a result here, and we went out with a whimper.
4) *, when's hooper gonna be back? And why did we ship Rasmussen? We need someone who just wants to strike, not 2 glorified attacking midfielders, decked out in strikers clothing!
All that said! I DO think this will just have boosted our standing for the league! We have a squad for 4 competitions that now only has 3 to compete for, and if the manager had any sense he'd turn out the fringe players of the squad for all of the league cup matches to keep them sharp and ready to fill in, while sparing the 1st team players!
Hate to sound negative, but we NEED the league this year! We're in freefall and it's all getting worse! We need results over performances (sad to say that it's the huns who're teaching us that by playing *, boring football but getting results!). If we can win stylishly then i'm delighted, lets see it, but we need to start winning workmanlike far more importantly! -
The reason everyone is overreacting more than usual because we were showing promise of something better then all of a sudden out of nowhere a silly 4-0 defeat and suddenly we are reminded of the crap we had to endure last year.

We're either going to win the Treble at a canter and reach a European Final or we're THE WORSEST CELTIC TEAM EVER FACT!1!. For some reason, we as a group are unable to appreciate there being any kind of realistic medium.
