biggest over reaction to a game ever?

Agreed with the OP but have to agree with this too. Though I don't think this sort of reaction is what the OP was referring to. You've gone and thought out what you want to see going forward, we've got a lot of people who think we need to sack Lenny, execute the board, tear down Parkhead and incinerate the bumble-bee (they may have something with this one). Your points are all very well made and I have to say I think had we gone out with number 3 and got a draw it would have gone a long way towards achieving number 2. I can't help but think we got a little carried away after the St. Mirren game (I was among them) and thought we'd be able to pass through Utrecht. Even if we could, shutting up shop would have been a better option because, like you said, we'd already done the heavy lifting. In retrospect, I'd have played a 5-4-1 with three in the middle of defence to cover the two wingbacks.

 

sorry for you guys that are able to let a Celtic side once again, come and boot you in the nuts, and the only reaction is this, i thought getting booted once would have stung, but three times going on four is just not good enough getting beat is OK if we had smacked the post and bar 4 times then i would accept a boot in the goolies but no this team of non triers, they and the managment are way way of the pace,

to op , ts hardly a over reaction ! we got beat by a poor dutch team sorry hammered by a poor dutch team that probaly would not even end up in the spl top 4 , its passionate fans fed up of the same old story thats all.
we as fans have every right to be * of with tis game considering we played them off the park last week.
how the players have not been fined yet amazes me !

 

agree with you 100 %.there has to be changes but rome wasn't built in a day.selling a few players is ok but people are acting like we should sell 8 or 9 of them.we have some players who are going to be very good for us.that * pitch didn't help one bit.they seemed to be able to play on it whereas we were rank rotten

Over reaction ? Some of us are fed up getting told to "keep the faith" well its wearing thin. we should have had enough not to lose a 2 goal lead never mind 4 goals - it`s like a broken down record player watching celtic. another season same old excuses and what * me off i cant even defend us . How many more * hard luck stories are we gonnie take - * how teams must love playing us in europe. Some fans are just telling it as they see it. but av been kicked enough in the stones watching celtic in europe as were very predictable - Lennon`s quote " we want to go to war everytime we take the field" - I think some of the players must have watched "Zulu" last night cos all i saw was fear.

really? surely you cant be serious mate, the dutch league is a far higher standard than the spl, and utrecht are apparently tipped for top 5 this season, thats much bettert han top 4 in the spl, they would be competing for the title, if not definately 3rd

 

i dont think its a far higher standard as u put it , it may be better but utrecht is a small team in that league

Last night was a complete * embarrassment.
Even against Barcelona that performance would have been unacceptable.

 

im not one for maoning about the team .and im against all the "sell the team stuff"
but ive held my tongue long enough and tried to be positive since we were put out against braga but this is * shocking we are out of europe and the huns are gloating. each time we are forced out the huns gain cash to wipe their debt. i agree every fan has a right to be very harsh about the team now because they threw away a comfortable home lead fs. enough is enough they better win the * treble for the fans who traveled to portugal and holland because they must have felt so * humilated.

 

Who are we to think we are better that Utrecht and Braga?


Does our history make us better? - No. Its all about the here and now.

Does our league make us better? - Don't make me laugh.

Does our 60,000 seater stadium make us better? - Sadly, we seem to have to rely on it!

Does our fan base make us better? - No. Not in their stadium it doesn't.

Do our finances make us better? - Whether its the SPL, the Eredivisie, or the Portoguese Liga, we are all, relatively speaking, paupers.

Do our players make us better? - Well, they didnt.


We've got no right to look down on these teams.

 

Not looking down on them but think with our resources we should at least be able to compete with them.
They absolutely hammered us last night and that's what is angering people.
