Thought this might pop up again. Dunno for me don't think he is an upgrade on Taylor and especially not on a loan deal. Bueno to beck doesn't fill me with confidence in our scouting and recruitment

In fairness, young players are always going to make mistakes and have off-games. I remember Hickey looking miles off it against us too.
That said, I just don’t think Beck is what we need. He’s not an immediate upgrade on Taylor - or at least not a significant one. Anderson has shown enough in the USA to suggest there’s a potential future first team player there. I think the best situation for us is to sign a quality left back this summer to come in as first choice, then send Anderson out on loan for the season. Next season GT would leave on a free and all going well we’d have Anderson ready to be back up and ready to step up the following season. -
It’s funny you said that because I was actually going to mention that Hickey got rinsed by Karamoko Dembele and look how they both turned out :giggle1:
If we signed Beck I wouldn’t be disappointed because that would mean Rodgers sees something in him. Personally though from what I’ve seen then it would be a no. He’s clearly got potential but as I say that game against us put me off him.martin_d likes this.
