    i think caldwell has had just a better season so far, but i dont think he can get the team going like mick does hes is a great captain

    a think caldwell is ten times better than mcmanus. He can pass the ball from defence better, head to a team mate and make good tackles.

    Caldwell has always been the best footballer of the two of them. He has cut out the consistant silly mistakes this season and has shown the many doubters he has,what a quality defender he is.

    Caldwell this season But McManus has been improving last few games. Thought against Rangers on Saturday was his best so far this season!

    Well based on this season you've got to go with Caldwell but over the last 3 years i'd go with Mick. You've got to remember, just because Caldwell had been good since maybe March/April to now doesn't mean he automatically overtakes Mick as a player. Micks been through bad to come good, then bad again to come good, no one can say that GC will maintain this form for ever and when he inevitably goes through a bad patch again who's to say he can come through it again?

    But he has been outstanding at times this season.
