I think Messi will walk this, but interested to see how the vote turns out anyway.

No mention of Puskas or Di Stefano, Ronaldinho or Ronaldo, nevermind Cryff, Matthews, Best or our own McGrory.:39:
I mean, in all fairness, if this is going to be a discussion they should at least be mentioned in the conversation, y/y?

Ronaldo, but it's close between him, Messi and Zidane

It's undoubtedly Messi, in my opinion.
My personal favourites are Zinedine Zidane, Xavi, Paolo Maldini and Brazilian Ronaldo. -

Messi for me.
Could play in any generation, anywhere, at any time and he'd still win it. In terms of world class players I have always liked as well, Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo (real one) and Larsson.
It is always hard to compare the likes of Di Stefano and Puskas to modern day players I feel. Defending back then was a lot worse and a whole lot more open. Even right up until the 70's that could be said.
They were obviously incredible players but there is always going to be differences when trying to hold comparisons. -

What about Lev Yashin? Or Franz Beckenbauer? Too much bias for attacking players.
-
Messi for me.
Would of been Ronaldo if it hadn't been for three knee career threatening injuries. Even then the guy was still amazing. But before them he was sensational. Power pace finishing and phenomenal dribbling. -

Maradona, think of the tackles he had to face and cope with in his prime.
