    Really though? 3 European Cups, 6 League titles, World Cup, EURO's best holding midfielder around for half a decade atleast and still only 27.

    For sure one of the best players of all time.

    Maybe, but countless professionals and ex professionals have stated that he is the best they've ever seen or played with/against.

    Quite an impressive career. I've actually just been watching YT videos of him. He was clearly a very special player. Bit ball greedy though! :smiley-laughing002:

    Still Maradona for me, only just ahead of Messi.
    86-87 title winning season with Napoli, aye they had some great players but nowhere near the standard of team Messi has around him, he was just immense and call it nostalgia but I've yet to see another player captivate the audience while delivering the goods on the pitch as Maradona in Mexico 86, Zidane and Ronaldo (Brazil) have come mighty close though.

    Messi is the best ever and for me there is no debate, the records he holds speak for themselves, it will be a long time before we see anyone so naturally gifted as him.

    After that although I never saw Maradona id go for him purly because he won Napoli titles and dragged Argentina though a world cup and did both things by himself the guy was a magician also.

    The original Ronaldo would of been third for me if he hadn't of got fat because he was a different breed althogether the stuff he could do on the ball was breath taking and there is no one around that is better on one v ones than he was.

    Fourth id have to go for Cha Du Ri...
