Well said PL. :icon_mrgreen:
Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has disputed comments made on Thursday morning by Stewart Regan, his counterpart at the SFA.
Regan slammed both clubs for their "inflammatory and irresponsible behaviour", adding that the "angry confrontation" between Lennon and McCoist "was not only unsavoury but exacerbated an already incendiary atmosphere inside the stadium and throughout the West of Scotland".

Lawwell, however, said: "I believe that events should be put into some perspective.
"Celtic had three players booked last night. To put this in the context of other matches, St Johnstone last night received two bookings in their match against Aberdeen, while Motherwell received five bookings against Celtic last Sunday.
"Contrary to Stewart's statement, I do not think that our players showed a lack of respect to officials.
"The team remained composed throughout what was, at times, a difficult game and the fact that only three of our players were booked is evidence of that composure and discipline which provided the foundation for us to go and win the match.
"They should be congratulated in this regard."
And he added: "Our fans once again provided an excellent display of how to support the team in a positive and inspiring manner.
"Our players, too, deserve great praise, not just for winning the match but also in the manner of the victory. They should be congratulated on their discipline."

When their hero is a striker who gets only 1 shot on target in the whole game, and gets himself sent off when he the game finishes in defeat, you know that Celtic are the daddies. :50: -
Glad he came out with his views. I thought we did ourself proud last night.

* rightly Said, been tired of hearing today how bad the OLD FIRM are when anyone in their right mind can see its THEM lot that are to blame. Its THEM lot who didnt show respect to the referee and it was THEM lot that incited the scenes on and off the pitch yesterday...........Sick to death of being tarnished with THEM lot who I shant even give them the grace of bearing their name
-
great response from Celtic, 3 bookings puts it in perspective, some of the carry on celtic players had to put up with was disgraceful a prime example being bougheras lunge at hooper, i could only imagine the response of Ferguson if a man u player was tackled like that.

yip the huns need to take full responsibility simples

Well said Mr Lawell. If we had acted like the huns last night i would have been ashamed but we are better than that. On the other hand that lot have no shame whatsoever.
How Regan had the audacity to say we were part of the problem last night is a joke. Fair enough Lennon reacted but there is only so much * a man can take before he hits breaking point. Somehow mccoist has come out of this looking like a saint in their eyes while lennon is slated in the press as some sort of nut job. Disgraceful. -

well done Mr Lawell, dont let the self righteous media dilute the FACTS. it was not an Old Firm shame game it was a Rangers shame game; our teams behaviour was exemplary in the face of the most disgraceful dirty tactics i've ever seen
go get them Celtic -
Also out of our three bookings we could dispute two of them. Defo broonys anyway, never a booking. All we did was play football, and good footie it was also!
But credit to you peter.
Now lets see mr.reid make his money next week when the politicians meet with the club. As they try to drag our club down to the gutter, of crimes commited in the comunity as they stand and watch sectarian bile and hate being chanted everyweek at us.
Police, goverment you turned a blind eye to these songs and chants now you repe what you sow. But dont lay it on our step.

yeah, well said, i have no idea why we are being made equaly culpable for last nights events. the manky mob tried to gang rape the ref and tried to kick us off the park, rangers being filthy * was the catalyst for events that took place after the whistle.

its all true what hes saying cant argue with it
