Was just wondering what you guys thought about who our penalty kick taker should be and if you think it should be rotated everyone someone misses? We have seen a good few players have a go at takin them recently and have had a few misses! Assuming that our first team are all playing who do you think is the best option and who would get your vote to take them?

This question has been on ma mind for a while & I honestly couldn't think of a player I'd trust to score 9 out of 10 penalties. If McCourt was playing I think he should but otherwise maybe Hinkel or Boruc :celt_2:. I don't trust any of our strikers from that distance, which is sad.
After saving all that if we get a penalty tonight then give it to Sammy. -

I honestly dont know. McDonald is awful, McGeady and Robson havent been convincing so who else does it leaveto trust?

Hinkel, German's never miss, scored a great one in the shoot out against Utd too. Caldwell's another possibility, usually takes a good penalty.

I am sure Sung-Yeung will take them when he arrives!

We are dire at pens!
Over the last 2 years I would estimate 60% success rate? Can anyone confirm that?
Exclude the Semi v Dun Utd!
And I think that the huns are nearer 100% over the same period. When did the huns last miss apenalty?
Pens make me * myself even Saturday's feeble attempt from McDonald-poor. -

He just leathers it but it works unfortunately. Wouldn't against Artur though as Boyd is * scared til even make an attempt to score past him. :56: -
I don't really trust any of our players ability from the penalty spot just now, I'd probably say Hinkel as I think he's been our best and more consistent player this season.

Oh well here goes my opinion that I’ll no doubt be slated for….Shaun Maloney! If you remember back to his POTY season, he took all of our penalties and never missed one of them! I for one always felt confident when he stepped up as he didn’t have that casual approach of putting them down the middle, he showed conviction and put them in the top corner!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have no idea who i would give it to right now, probably give it to Sammy or Robson. When Jack Wilsher is here he can hit them :86:

I'd go for caldwell or crosas.

zheng zhi if hes on the pitch and if not boruc and im being serious(im not just basing this on that one penalty against dundee united he used to take a few for his old team)
-
nah i wouldnt let mick or caldwell take them, unless it was our goalkeeper that was between the sticks for them, then they would have at least a 99% chance of scoring hahaha
now onto more serious note, ive been thinking about this for a wihle too. mcdonalds penalty was so feeble at the weekend, and i dont think i would be able to handle samaras' dazed and confused look with the hands on the head if he misses.
as wierd as it is, i would say give fox a shot -
