I agree way the boruc shout it has been a more coming thing from goal keepers these days look at the champs league game other week .

Im a keeper myself and i trust the tactical edge we have we can read a keepers dive in the run up i done it a few times .

Id give boruc the try if it didnt work pass the buck but just imagine he was the kicker pen at ibrox last minute scores what a feeling it be .

Not at all. Bayern Munich's keeper took a penalty in midweek and it was no big deal. As long as the keeper is good at taking them I don't see a problem with it.

Can you imagine Artur striding up to take a penalty in front of the Copland Road end then planting it into the top corner. That would be awesome!

 

My problem with a Keeper taking a pen is the other goalie saving it and then punting it into an empty net.

 

usually there are 2-3 players on the field that could take the pen. depends on how those players feel before the penalty kick. the one with the biggest confidence normally takes the ball and scores.

 

Samaras should have taken the penalty against Motherwell and I think he should take them from now on. Robson shouldn't be allowed anywhere near penalty kicks again this season.

 

Boruc ? or Hinkel ! well boruc showed it to us agiasnt UTD lol!! but to be realistic Hinkel is the man for me.

 

why not caldwell? instead of giving the keeper the eyes he can do his pointing thing and punt it top corner. im trying to think of people and when i go to them ( say mcdonald) i remember a miss or mcgeady or robson and practically everyone has missed a pen. so i will say crosas because he looks cool on the ball and i doubt he would get scared out like so many in the past

 

Sammy should have hit that pen on Saturday and probably should hit them form now on. Pretty shockin that we have missed 3/5 penalties this season.

 

i remember big sammy scoring 1 against killie i think and it was a peach he was demanding the ball on sat and robson took it.i have never liked robson taking them every one he has scored has been nearly centre and its just luck the keeper dives to the side.tony should show the ibrahimovic pen at the weekend thats how its done

 

Definately got to be Maloney is he's playing, otherwise id maybe give Hinkel or Fox a shot. Can't be any worse than those who have missed this season.

 

Fox would be a good call, for fun's sake i'd have a centre back doing it, and i'd be telling him to play the penalty as if he's clearing his lines. HOOF IT.

 

I'd like to see Hinkel score more goals and the penalty spot is the only way i can see it happening ... he deserves any goal he gets.

If we were like 4 or 5 nil up and playing at Parkhead i'd let Boruc take the chance ( Doubt it would ever happen though)

But in an important match I think i'd always give it to Samaras or McDonald
