Back in for him and since the other thread has been locked

Celtic have indicated to Brondby they are planning to improve their offer for Mathias Kvistgaarden in early January - but now they face competition from the Bundesliga.

Football Scotland understands the 21-year-old striker is back on the agenda within the scouting team at Parkhead with the Hoops knowing they face losing Kyogo to the Asian Cup with Japan. We told you back in the summer how Celts were interested in a £4million move for the player but that his club had valued him at a heftier fee closer to the £7.5million range.

Celtic refused to go that high in their pursuit of the hitman and that allowed him to stay in Denmark to play first-team football this term where so far he's notched five goals in 15 appearances. He has also shone for the Danish under-21s side alongside Matt O'Riley.

Now Football Scotland understands Celtic have made it clear they are willing to up the ante in a bid to get a move completed for the title run-in.

Sources in Denmark do suggest, however, that European-chasing clubs from Germany have had the youngster watched on multiple occasions as they consider their own move and the implication is that they'd be willing to spend more than the Scottish champions.

O’Riley getting into the national team from his performances here is a good selling point if this is serious and not just lazy linking to targets that we moved on from in the summer.

Thought he looked like an excellent prospect back in the summer when we were linked. Would be happy if this is true.

Being linked with the guys that seemed to just escape us in the summer who looked the main targets is something I’m very happy with, it suggests it’s a plan and desire from the manager, and it’s two targets that by all accounts wanted to be here and it just fell through due to the clubs they’re at and probably us also * about I imagine.

I’d rather keep Abada if he’s not trying to leave, which he could very understandably be trying to do right now tbf. But his fee will be at the lowest the now

You are so desperate to chase Abada out the club.

This guy looks promising and the fact he’s fairly versatile will mean he’d get plenty of minutes. I think this will happen, probably join us on the 1st or very early Jan so we can integrate him before Kyogo leaves for the Asian Cup.

Boy looks good, was hoping to bag him in the summer so hopefully we can get it done this time. Just leave the acrobatics back in Brondby lol.

Am really not but if the lad feels his position/feeling has changed then out of the players who have a sale value then it will be him.

His team manager has made some serious statements about abada with the club

Isn't Kvistgaarden's scoring record quite average for the fee his club want?

Transfermarkt has him down as having 15 appearances this season with 5 goals and 5 assists. 10 goal contributions in 15 is fairly decent. Think him being able to play striker left wing and right wing is also a plus for us as he can rotate across

Okay. In the summer, his record seemed far worse.

Which would get us bumped considering what he could be
