Celtic targets are acting like a couple of greedy brats
Jimmy Bullard and Sol Campbell have both been up north to have a look at what Celtic have to order - but both have stalled on a move in order to consider their options
so lets get this right. Jimmy Bullard, handy footballer but serial injury victim with relegated Hull, has gone to Celtic to have a look around, has marvelled at the stadium in the east end of Glasgow and has gasped at the training facilties at Lennoxtown. He has been wowed by the size of the club and the challenges of European football that exist. He's been told that he can have his current £45,000 a week salary if he plays for Celtic for a season on loan, but he's dallied on the deal, finally saying, no, he wants £75,000 a week.

You have to ask: On what planet is Jimmy living?
And now there's Sol Campbell, the ageing centre-back. Not so long ago he was playing for Notts County. That brief experiment, driven by hard cash and nothing else, ended before it began. Arsene Wenger took him back to Arsenal but he's not keeping him on next season. Big Sol has got the wheelbarrow out. He's pushing it from club to club just to see who's going to fill it up the most. Sol wants a challenge, he says. He's got many miles on the clock, but he ain't done yet. He's still got much to offer, he insists. As long as you've got much to give him. He's been stalling just like Bullard - a pair of immensely wealthy footballers who are behaving like money-grabbing brats.<!---

some good points and if this is the players attitude then i would rather not have them. If they dont care about the club we shouldnt care about them

You and i would be doing excatly the same if a club we didnt have any ties to came in for us and we had a chance to get an extra few pounds for our retirement then we'd do it . Its just the way it is man

things are happening behind the curtain lads calm down , just look at the state some of the fans on here were when ledley did not sign before he left on his last visit , bullard supposedly has a 100 k payment he is due from hull and thats why he is no rush and campbell is getting married at the mo , yes i do agree this should be sorted asap but just give it time , no need to jump on the bandwagon slagging them of calling them spoilt kids when they might actualy be wearing the hoops come the start of the season , we dont know the ins and outs yet till its officialy announced :50:

Bullard and Campbell are players we certainly don't need in our club. Older, injury proven and expensive players. They can go and F***, who cares about them?

Think your being unfair.
They have come to look at the club and setup. Been made offers and have gone off to consider their options. They have no ties to the club, neither having saying "I always wanted to play for Celtic"
There is still a chance they might come, don't listen to all the paper talk. Campbell is getting married on the 17th and won't give an answer till after then, we knew this. That's at least another 4 days away. Bullard might get his 100k from Hull and then be on his way. They want him off the wage bill, he has to go somewhere.
And as for people not getting all annoyed and saying we don't need their kind up here. Eh, yes we * do. -
Sol campbell should be biting celtics hand off to come up here and play.. alot of ppl down south dont realise how big a club we are untill they sign and go to america and see the 30thousand ppl their for friendly games hull woudnt even get 30 to a league game.. celtic should just tell the two of them to get lost... cant believe they have made celtic wait about both of them should be jumping at a chance of european football with a great club like celtic.

Although this chancer Bullard does seem to be taking the *... -

i would be thrilled to have either of them on the team, to be honest.

some people expect players to take massive cuts in wages to come here because were celtic. and fail to realise that not everyone had an affection for our club.
we have only heard one side of the bullard story so we dont know whats going on.
campbell is in the last years of his career and if celtic offer him 30k a week and sunderland offer him 50k its really a no brainer.
not all players stay in the game and they need to look after thier future -

Campbell is different. He's retiring and has earned the right to wait it out. I can't blame him for wanting to stay in England.
Bullard greedy *

This is why delays are murder because unless the club / player come out and say something then its open season on rumours and as has been stated the ledley one is a classic example of how reality and percieved reality werent the same . Any player has the right to shop around for the best deal for themselves and like in campbels case this maybe his last big deal and he will do a great job for us if he comes and i think bullards a lil miffed that hull have been trying to nudge him outas hes reported to be owed cash as has been said . The papers are full of transfer " exclusives " most days and lets be honest how many ever come to fruition ? Just have faith that the club are trying their best top get in their top targets or at least close to their top targets

Bullard I'm hoping he could change his mind if Celtic put a slightly improved offer in.
Sol Campbell however was a world class player. Was. Hes too old now. Lennon seems to be bring in young fresh faces at this point a transfer policy that exciting for the future. Sol Campbelll does not want to play for Celtic. He'll play for what ever club offer him the most money. He is a mecenary in every sense of the word. -
well, you can look at it both ways, as for Bullard, to me he is being greedy
and for Campbell well he is just exploring every option
if none of them come then its no big loss in my opinion -

It's the typical mentality of an english footballer. Thinks he is worth far more than he actually is due to the ridiculous money that has puffed up the english game...hopefully that bubble will burst soon.

Sol played in the EPL last season ffs...he must have something he can offer our spectacular SPL!!
As for Jimmy...don't believe everything that you read...have we not all learnt by now that the scum press will stick any old * in the tabloids. If it's true then so be it, Lenny moves on to his next target.
Let's show a bit of class and stop spouting off at the least wee remark in the papers or rumours...we need to put our trust in Lenny, after all he ain't some nugget jumping about wae Celtics cheque book signing any old lump 'o' wid. -

I wouldn't be too fussed if we got none of them imo they would be no major loss.
Campbell - Has experience but walked out on a club and walked out a dressing room at half time when things arent going his way.
Bullard - Good player, Good Character, Injury prone and money grabbing.
I recon we could get better for our money in terms of wages would just need to cough up a transfer fee.
