wouldnt be fussed if neither of them came TBH bullard while he has a nice touch and a good strike is not worth the money he wants campbell would offer us experience but thats about it

Typical. We slate the press time and time again for this mis-reporting things but as soon as it gives us backing for our arguments, it's gospel.....

    £75k my *. I don't believe he's after that for a second.

exactly. this story about him wanting £75,000 reeks of *

we dont need bullard or campbell, ageing past it dross coming up to parkhead for a last big pay-off, sound familiar?

get them to *. i do think we need experience but signing campbell or bullard isnt logical. why spend a fortune on campbells wages when you could buy a defender for say 2 million on lower wages, the drop in wages budgets for the transfer fee. a defender with experience who we can get a couple of years out of. same with bullard, dont get me wrong crackin player but what use is he to celtic sitting on the treatment table picking up £45,000 a week or whatever? centre midfield isnt our weakest point in the team anyway and to spend that much on a player that isnt priority is ludicrous.

lets be realistic here we all know what the finances are like in scotland nowadays. wouldnt it be better to bring in a player who has a sell-on value? i.e joe ledley, crackin peice of business, good player who if needed can be sold on for a hefty profit. this is the world we live in today and things like this have to be taken into consideration.

This is the thing that winds me up most about footballers - the idea that their ludicrous pay and unseemly greed is justified by the fact that it's a short career and they have to look after their future.

Like being a footballer somehow renders you unable to do anything else for the remaining 40 or 50 years of your life!

Obviously your forgetting our very own Gary Parker, painting a decorater extrordanaire. I agree with your point though.

To me Bullard is the one * this one up due to wage demands, not saying its 75k a week but still massive wages, more than he was on with Hull. IMO he thinks because two clubs are sharing the wage packet he can get more for himself.

As for Campbell - he's holding out for the best offer, basically what "weighing up his options" means.

    Two words … overpaid shitebags.

Take nothing away from lenny & Celtic putting a bid in for both of them, bit of experience & flair could be good for the team.

But come on, both of them are holding for a cushy wee set up in a mid table championship club, scared of the unknown challenge that is Scottish football.
Funny thing is nobody wants them, so the Celtic deal is the only decent offer on the table. Campbell said if Arsene Wenger wants him he'll stay at arsenal, that's fair enough sol if ya don't mind the odd cup appearance hear n there.
Jimmy is just chasing dollars, simple as!

If yer bottles crashed, just say so fellas, save us all the hassel of reading * newspaper stories.

but if they have a chance to set themself up for life why would they not do it?

if you won the lottery would you continue to work?

i wasnt justifying a footballers pay im mearly saying that i can understand why they would take the best deal they can get.

Bullard is a laugh a min.
The guy seriously is at his funniest when he's not even trying. - I.E. thinking he's worth 75k pw.

it was obvious with the short interview at the open that he had no interest in signing for Celtic, his body, the way he spoke, was clear he was just using us.

i find it hard to believe that bullard would have demanded 75k.is there actually any quotes from him or celtic.also i think lennon and lawell would have atleast spoke a bit about terms with jimmy and his agent before inviting him up for a look around.if you ask me its the hun media trying to turn us against him and going my this forum its working
