    Whether it be The Corries, Texas, Travis, Runrig, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Amy MacDonald, The Proclaimers or Franz Ferdinand, what is your favourite Scottish music? Post vids by all means.

    For me The Corries are great for a few drams, Amy MacDonald a few beers and Runrig when i'm driving anywhere.

    Was out in Assynt today spying some hills to walk this year, so now back home listening to some Scottish Celtic chillout music (a 1st for me) to reflect on my day and it made me think of the question above.

    I love all types.

    My da is big into his trad music and folk stuff so I've been brought up on the Corries, Gaberlunzie, Runrig and the more 'folky' stuff too. Ceilidh music basically.

    Few I've been listening to at the moment, got into 'Silly Wizard' lately, Phil Cunningham was in them (guy who plays on telly every new year).



    Skippinish are an excellent band as well, popular on the trad music scene just now which is growing.



    Also got Skerryvore too:




    Some good music if you look for it. Both Skipinnish and Skerryvore are West Coast (Tiree and Oban I think) so some Irish influences here and there.

    That's a nice song. the girl assuming the lead male vocal is * wi my beer ridden head though. Like when your high and can taste smells and smell colours :giggle1:

    Liked the last 2 videos, infact liked all 3 but last 2 being a more modern take I liked
