The family's all from Barra so I've seen the Vatersay Boys many a time.

They can't sing for * but it's always good fun :56:

Would love those Corries tunes as well as Caledonia played when the English pay a visit in June.
Rousing battle songs plus of course national anthem.
    Get intae them lads.

I know the Fureys did this but prefer Corries version.

    Against all the odds.

The Gael is still alive in the soul of the people and in the wild lands of Ireland and Scotland.

On a connected note, Karen Matheson is one of the most beautiful things of this earth, both physically and her musical ability and culture are stunning.

And for you who are proud Scots, but have never heard of Eric Bogle, how come?
And for those Irish who think all our ballads all our great songs emanated directly out of Ireland, think again.
Many of our most cherished emanate from the emigrants and the experiences of the sons and daughters of Irish emigrants. Plenty from Scotland.
Some from Scots like Eric Bogle who gave us these now considered Irish national treasures.

The lyrics to Wild mountain thyme,Will Ye go Lassie on the other hand were penned by a Irishman.
