Not gonna pretend like I know who half those teams are, but would prefer to avoid Cork City and Alashkert right off the bat.
We'd beat both but Cork have proven to be a tough opponent the last few seasons and I'm pretty sure Alashkert beat a Scottish side recently, I think Aberdeen?
No teams we need to worry about, but you always want the easiest route. Crusaders would be a short trip and a good warm-up.JimMc likes this. -

As much as I despise having to negotiate these qualifiers, it still is a nice provision as Celtic supporters that we get to watch competitive football way earlier (even earlier this year..) than almost all other supporters of notable European clubs. Ah the joys and stresses of year-round football.

It will feel like we're barely away this season, CL and play-off final this weekend, following week pre-World Cup friendlies start and then the World Cup starts then we are back playing real games before the World Cup finishes, so theres no even a week without televised football.DoTheBroony likes this. -

I hope brendan doesnt dwell on cost of other squads in cl ,it puts a negative on our hopes and fans hope against hope that we have a chance against anyone ,
I think he feels he needs to reign in our expectation but ,celtic fans only expect that we give our all on the field and work harder than the mega million players who are bloated on greed mostly .
Having just watched the cloughy years you get to see what a man manager can do for a team ,like stein he built a team and put players in positions that worked and mostly kept it simple ,it had an amazing affect on the teams he managed ,you here it time and again charisma, players who would run through a brick wall for the manager ,having the ability to make them feel ten feet tall and crave praise .
Look at the players that have been brought in by the club ,most cant break into the team because the players have upped their game to a point where we probably would stuggle to buy most of them from another team ,hence these other guys are finding it tough .ladbroke8 and aliceinsound like this. -

A wee trip to Cork would be nice..
Having less rest isn't ideal however when it comes to the last two qualifying rounds having played two extra competitive games may actually help us...
We need to try and get our transfer business done early & utilise the squad properly..

As long as all the seeded teams win in each Champions path qualifier then we will be seeded right through the qualifiers including the play offs.
We will also be in pot 4 if all the seeded qualifier teams get through to the group stage -
We played the Slovenian Champions in the Playoff in 2014, now the possibility of getting them in the 1st round with 3 tougher ties still to negotiate.
First game will be on the night of the World Cup Semi-Final, bit of a pisstake. -
Is that right? I wonder if any broadcaster will be allowed to show our game if the WC Semi is on. Not unless we have an early ko or something...
