The important thing is that every season we qualify the easier it becomes to dominate the league due to the money. The money from qualifying must not be that different to what Rangers take in through a whole season, if not more.

Is there prize money for coming 3rd and going into the Europa league?

All the more reason to back the manager and make sure we try and get there with the best possible chance ...hes earned it with last 2 cl qualifications and b2b trebles...speculate to accumulate.

In all fairness there is nothing as of yet to say he will not get backing. The window does not open until 09/06 and we have until 01/09. I think the board will partly want to wait until they see who is gone. If Armstrong stays, then no replacement, if he does leave (I think he will) then possible replacement and the same for Dembele. However part of recruitment is down to whether the gaffer thinks parts need replacing and decides to use players we have like Kouassi, Morgan and Christie if he thinks they are good enough to go all the way, he will not want a larger squad for the sake of showing we can spend money.

    Good work mate.

    There's also this

We'd be in for an incredible amount of money if we were to repeat our 2012/2013 exploits this season.

Say we do get to the groups and we get a decent draw. It's not inconceivable that we could achieve 10 points by winning three games and drawing one and progressing to the last 16.

That'd be an additional income of nearly 17m on top of the 50m for qualifying for the group stages. So potentially 67m in total, probably more when you factor in the ticket sales and TV money for the last 16 games.

    Huns are in meltdown

    "UEFA are ruining football"
"shouldn't be allowing clubs from small nations to get that sort of cash"
"only £4m should go to the taigs and the other £36m split up by the association"
"sooner it becomes a closed shop to the big league the better"
"don't worry the taigs wont make it they are unseeded in the playoff" (lies)
"Brenda will quit as soon as they are knocked out"

LOVE IT!!! Tears are still flowing.....

As I said last summer lets all calm down and see what the draw brings, from Round 2 this year it looks like Playoff quality teams again!

Is that from their very horrible bear's den forum? Bunch of *' idiots on there. When you sign up you have to answer a few questions, did your mum drop you on your head as a baby? Are you a religious bigot? If you answer no to either you don't get an account.

I find the qualifiers the most stressful part of the season.

    I absolutely hate them.

Suppose one of the good things is we know who we play in rounds 1 and 2 at the same time!

    * * that freaked me out, I thought we were going out. The last minute goal at home from Broony ended up being so important. Be'er Sheeva are a good team and one to watch out for in qualifiers.
I was * myself against Astana, when it went 4-1 I thought even with the away goal they could knock us out. Then Ntcham put it 4-2 and I was calm. Another one to watch out for, a good team.

The squad we have right now are more than capable of winning all eight games on route to the group stages. We should go into every game with confidence and enjoy them. Odasone Eduard. He's our man to lead the line in the Champions League. Sign him up.

From Midfield upwards the team is solid. Forrest is on a new level as is McGreagor. Rogic is here for the ten, Brown is the seasoned pro, Sinclair he's good enough. Demele and Griffiths are goal machines in the big stage.

    Tierney, Boyata, Simunovic and Lustig
    can hold the back line.

Gordon in goals he's top class.

The reality is we're going again with the same squad because they've done it before and can do it again.

As pathetic as this qualifying pish is, if we can't beat any team over two legs that's been mentioned then we don't deserve to be in champions league.

Going forward I'm confident, defensively I'm not, make no mistake some of those teams have good players who could hurt us, however we have better players. Will be an interesting campaign.

Worst comes to worst I actually wouldn't mind a Europa league year, win a few group strage games and try get to last 16, wouldn't harm our coffers or Co-efficient points.

    Mon the hoops
