Who is the hardest player you have seen play for us? Bonus point if they could also play a little!
Mjallby for me with honourable mentions for Jackie MacNamara and Barry Robson.

KT rushing back to Hampden with a broken mouth springs to mind.

Bobo is the stand out one, could be heart over head, but a genuinely nice guy (off field).
Gravesen, Mjallby, Aitken, Broony, Hartson, Boruc, Wanyama, Lambert to name just a few others. On their day Lennon, Thompson, Keane (either one) , Lustig , McNamara, McManus had their 'moments' too. Early memory McGrain, Macleod, Gemmel, Hay.
We tend to be more the flight of foot and skilful rather than the thuggery type players. Too nice by far in some cases.
But the best tackle ever has to be Simunovic on Miller..."Wheeeeee"! -
Barry Robson must be in with a shout. Not many messed with Robbo.
-
Reckon big Rab Douglas was a pretty hard *. Big Dan Maj as well.
Not many in the current team that's for sure. -

Hard to see past Bobo and Broony as players who 'always' liked to leave a little bit extra on the tackle....not sure if any of the current squad come close.....maybe AJ, Ralston.....

Different kinds of "hard". If you're talking scary "don't mess with that guy", it's Bobo Balde all day long. If you mean hard as nails but fair in a football sense, it's Maj for me. If you mean tough rather than a good fighter, I think it's hard to beat Broony having a guy literally stamp on his private parts and getting up and playing on.
We are a team of pushovers now and have been for 3 or 4 years.steg likes this. -
Bobo the obvious one.
John Hartson is another.
Paul Gallagher ex Dundee utd goalie told a story about a melee in penalty box and lashing out and booting Hartson in the baws as the were both on the deck and he said the big man didn't even flinch and just laughed at himsteg likes this. -
Roy Aitken and Danny McGrain, not dirty or malicious just tough as * and brave as they come. :50:

Broony, the guy always bounced back to his feet and would laugh in the opponents face, pure class.
