The Celtic End is a campaign open for all Celtic fans aimed at turning the lower tier of the traditional Celtic End (Jock Stein Stand) into an iconic full standing area at Celtic Park. Currently, the standing section in the North Curve holds 2,700 with a similar number in a waiting list. Bhoys Celtic have a growing number of fans within their area choosing to stand also. On recent European nights, the majority of those in Lisbon Lions part of the ground have opted to stand. The appetite is unquestionably there.
It is our belief, therefore, that the club must look to cater for those supporters who wish to stand. While we’d anticipate that The Celtic End would have our ultras behind the goal leading the singing, the initiative is open to everyone. The stand is big enough to house those who may not be ultras but would still prefer the option to stand at home every match. And for those who don’t wish to stand, you can enjoy the atmosphere from the comfort of your own seat in any of the other 3 stands at Celtic Park. The most obvious example is Dortmund’s ‘Yellow Wall’ – an iconic stand famous across Europe for noise and colour which the team thrive off.
The Celtic support are renowned for successful campaigning, but like all others before, your support will be essential. If you’re a CSC, can you canvass your members and gauge their support? If you’re fan media, can you highlight our campaign on podcasts and social media? If you’re neither of them but you’re an individual Celtic supporter, can you help with leaflets, videos and graphics, social media etc?
Tomorrow, volunteers will be out with leaflets targeting those season ticket holders who are currently in the Jock Stein Stand. Many of these fans will have sat in the same seat for many years and may feel a sense of attachment to that. It is important that we engage positively with these supporters and show them the benefits of what we’re looking to introduce.
There has already been positive engagement with the club around this idea and we hope that will continue in the weeks and months to come. In March, a fan census will be sent to all Celtic fans. We’ll be in touch again before that is sent out and ask for each and every person’s support as to how you answer the question on a new standing area.
In the meantime, we ask for your support as we look to get this campaign into the public domain. Retweets, likes, shares etc on social media. Share with group chats. Tell your mates. Get involved in canvassing other supporters. This is an opportunity for you to be part of something that would see Celtic Park become a fortress once again.
Discuss The Celtic End in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.

All for this, main issue will obviously be getting people to move for it but if you give them first chance for being in the standing section it could work.

I'd be all for it but I think you would need to move the GB from the North Curve and integrate it into the new Celtic End. Bhoys are no far away from me and usually both sides are singing completely different songs. In my opinion, having a bigger stand, like The Celtic End, turned into a standing section would be better than having two separate 'ultra groups'.

Said before that if the club are looking to redevelop the main stand then it should look to redevelop the Jock Stein stand too.
I know it's probably not feasible to do either because of cost but I'd love to see the Jock Stein knocked down completely and have a new steep single-tier stand built from scratch that is all safe standing - a bit like Tottenham's south stand.
Would be amazing to have say, a 20,000 capacity safe-standing stand behind the goal. -
Would be incredible as it would generate a electric atmosphere at every single game.

This would be amazing
My seat is in the main stand nearer the Celtic end, it would be a great sight.
But there will be fans who have had a seat in that section, but don’t want to stand.
It’s a great idea, but complicated in its action process. -
I would love this!, my old seat was in the JS lower loved it there. The North curve has showed us that safe seating can be done on a large scale within british stadiums. The atmosphere would be sensational.

It would be amazing to have an entire end standing.
Unfortunately I don't see people who have held on to their seat for years/decades giving it up. -

Hopefully they can accommodate this dream and bring in more corporate boxes, hospitality and importantly a fine selection of prawn sandwiches.

I'm in the standing section the now and would happily move to a new full length one in the Jock Stein.
