Can't these 2 sides just ****ing talk to each other and reach some kind of compromise? Surely it's obvious that there are fair points on both sides. This war of public statements is how you interact with enemies like the Huns not neutral parties, let alone parties that are supposed to be on the same ****ing side! Grow up, get together to talk and hammer out a compromise.

See being honest the last thing we need now going in to a title race is another big fall out and in-fighting.

The logic of the club using safety grounds is they have no way at present of taking forward the Celtic End concept in the Jock Stein lower without moving ST holders who may not want to be moved.

They did this at a woman’s game which in the grand scheme of a 60k seater stadium was never going to be close to capacity.

However part of the GB grievance last year was the failure to engage in talks about the Celtic End, so I can see why the club wouldn’t allow it this year given it provides false hope.

I can also see those who want its point of view as under the conditions above it never happens or at least not for a long time.

Agree mate. But the public statement from the GB calling board members shameful smacks of them spoiling for confrontation. They were offered the standing section ffs.

I’m dealing with a similar situation at work. Two groups of people * to me about the other and expecting me to nod along.

    It is * tiresome.

Its one of the problems we have at the moment. There is a lack of trust about the green brigade and certainly there is some justification for that. The flares been an example there. Having said that though there is at least equally a lack of trust the other way. I know I personally at this point have very little trust in the Celtic board and don't really believe much of what I hear from them.

Yeah, spot on mate. Sit in Jock Stein lower too and would love it but as I'm almost right behind the goal there's no chance I'm giving up my seat which I'm sure is in the exact section the Green Brigade would want.

2 biggest issues I see with it is as you say people that have sat there for years won't want to give up there seats and secondly, the standing section is a dearer section than jock stein lower so can't see people who arnt overly keen on it be willing to pay an extra £50-£100 per season for their same seat.

If this did happen for arguments sake would they then turn the original standing section back to seating ?

Can you imagine the meltdown if this goes ahead but nobody in the jock stein lower wants to move away from section they have sat in for years.

Why should I move from my absolute belter of a seat to accommodate a group of fans who already get far more privlages than the rest of us.

All for the Celtic end but I ain't moving

Too much disagreement within the fanbase for it to happen I expect. It would be a PR disaster for the club to force old people, women, children, etc, to move in order to make way for a fan base they regularly have run ins with over health and safety. Wouldn't make much sense.

There needs to be some sort of compromise IMO. We've become so individualistic since the 60s that our first thought is "Why should I...?" rather than "How can we find a compromise that might not be ideal for anyone but is broadly acceptable for everyone?"

Let's be honest tho. This is partly motivated by the green brigade wanting a better section ie behind the goal in the celtic end, rather than stuck over in a corner. Their self entitlement knows no bounds.
