Got my higher exams in the next month, the biggest of my life. However nothing seems to be going in at the minute! Any new methods outwith the bog standard reading notes/ past papers etc to ensure I actually do decent?
Cheers!

Have a *, cry, then go for a long walk through the hills.
repeat. -
Associate your notes with different smells. Try spraying different deodorants or after shaves on them. Your brain will then associate that information with those smells

Spread peanut butter on your * and let the dog munch it off.

Have you got an elderly relative who doesn't have the internet or a decent tv package?
Go there to study, leave your phone, iPod and laptop and all that.
Make sure all your notes are written or printed out and you don't need to access them on your laptop - this will cause procastination browsing
(Also I think they have done studies where they have shown your brain takes in information better from paper than a screen)
Lock yourself in the room, take hundreds of scran with you.
You will study out of boredom if nothing else.
Do 45 mins/ hour sessions followed by a 15/20 min break. Try and do 2/3 sessions of study sessions per night if possible.
Don't do more than an hour per session or you'll burn out.
Once you feel like you've exhausted your notes just rape past papers. Make sure you do all of them (5?) in the book and try and get previous years that won't be available in the recent ones. The reason for this is there is usually a different kind of question missing from the past 5 years that will be assesible.
What highers/ints are you doing?Last edited by a moderator: Apr 20, 2014 -
Past papers. Do out all the answers from the last 5 years or so for each exam and neatly place them out on stapled sheets nice and sorted. Go over them for a bit then do it again.

Log off this site! Even now being at college this site still distracts me.

Looks like you have a lot of essay type classes, a lot to cram in.
Only thing I can recommend is write a lot of notes :smiley-laughing002: -
Write loads of notes and make sure you get a good night sleep each night as that helps you remember stuff better.

Didn't work, as it just gave me a raging stauner. -
