The ref did flash the cards to the Huns when he needed to, and gave that pale-faced dirty cheating hun *- Naismith, a well deserved card for dissent.
He also played good advantages, and tried to keep the game flowing as much as possible.
Shame the same thing that could not be said for the linesman: giving Samaras the offside when he was clearly on-side, and aloowing a Davis/Jelavic attack when they played an offside pass.
Maybe not a top-class refereeing performance, but definitely one by Hun-SFA standards.
Sorry if this should be in the post-match thread :/ Wasn't too sure whether or not to make a separate one for it, or post it in there.

Yeah the ref handled the game better than any others have done in the past. Especially as this was as intense as it gets. Disapointed with the linesman though, shocking decision for Sammy's run!

Ref done well linesman was *.prob be last time he is in charge of a game lol

Collum or McDonald would've probably awarded a penalty for the Huns when Naismith dived. Solid refereeing.

credit where it is due! the ref did good today!
if the linesman got the sammy offside decision right we may have finished the job at ibrox.
ah well we'll just have to finish them off at home, which might be even better for the club (full stadium means a lot of money from tickets) -

Only thing i could fault him on is the keeper being sent off , no chance he was getting the ball yellow would have done ,
Lino * up with Sammy clearly 5yards * onside . -
Any other ref would of gave a penalty for Naismith so credit where it's due.

Don't think he can be faulted. I'd be screaming for a red if it was the other way around. Though I think Naismith was looking for it and obviously left his foot in I had no complaints.
Broony's booking was harsh as was Ledley's and now he misses the next game but no real complaints.
Disappointed how badly the linesman got the Samaras decision though. -
Aye..
it's not the ref that let us down this game..
It was that * linesman who couldn't see that sammy was 5 yards onside.. -

I was thinking that the ref had done a good job even before he sent Naismith off for diving. Which from a refs standpoint was a brilliant piece of work as it can be so hard to get that exactly right when a player cheats like that.
Considering just how bad the refs have been this season you have to say well done to Murray. You cannot blame him for Samaras been given offside either that was the linesmans fault. -
Murray along with Thompson are the only two competent Refs in the SPL.
-
Apart from the sending off of Forster I think he done a pretty good job, that's about as good as Scottish referee'ing gets anyway.

I think we're in danger of getting carried away because the ref wasn't as overtly biased as usual.
Consider, would a neutral ref have ordered off a goalie for an infringement on a player clearly heading away from goal.
Referee is the final arbiter of the game, so if he was up with play, he would clearly have seen Samaras was well onside.
Why was Weir only booked for shoving Ledley by the throat?
Why was Broonie booked for facing up to the sewer rat. It's bad enough getting booked for celebrating with our own supporters.
Yes, the ref wasn't their 12th man this time, but we should at least expect complete neutrality. -
