If it had been Hooper V McGregor I reckon you would have been calling for a red card mate, rightly so.

I was calling for Diouf to be sent off for breathing but that doesn't detract from the fact a sending off only occurs when a goalscoring opportunity was denied. There was no goalscoring opportunity so there should have been no sending off.

murray had a decent game, refereed it well imo. though the same cannot be said for his assistant willie conquerer?!, flagging of sami when it wasnt even close. could have and should have been the winner as well.

Absolutely yes without a doubt the best refereeing performance in an old firm game for a while. The problem with that linesman seems to be ongoing though he's caused us bad decisions on several occasions and I'm sure he was the dodgy linesman at the Hamilton game can anyone confirm?

I think I am in the minority.

I can recall a blatant Cummins free kick in the middle of the park and he allowed Rangers to play on and brake away to almost score in the first half.

Davie Weir stuck the studs into the back of one of our lads and didn’t get booked.

The Boogi man should have went for getting involved in the scuffle outside the box.

Ki should have been booked for a nasty lunge on one of the Rangers players

Brown got booked for celebrating a goal by doing the Cantona style celebration.

If they did give the penalty for the second Naismith dive, I think he knew it would come back to haunt him. Can’t imagine how he would be able to explain away the no contact when he was standing right next to it.

The first penalty was not a sending off.

All above point show how many mistakes he made during the game that I can remember of the top of my head.

So for me, I don’t think he did that well.

Calum Murray had a good game considering...I think him and thomson should referee the remaining old firm games...no more Colum!!:bbpd:

I was thinking that today as well funnily enough. Thomson and Murray
should get the rest of the remaining Old Firm games between them.
    No Gollum :bbpd:

I think also we should make an official complaint about the linesman to the SFA who flagged Samaras offside, when he was at least two yards onside.
Samaras at 2-2, two yards on-side, the linesman flags for off-side, this was the same linesman who failed to see the off-side goal away to Hamilton, by the way.He has cost us two vital victories now.
    His name is Willie Conker
. Celtic FC should make sure this charlatan
never handles another one of our games again.

After seeing it, I'll need to watch it again on Ch67 as am I wrong thinking that * Naismith should have walked before the pen? I may be wrong, but no red for Forster anyhoo, no yellow for Broony and Sammi was onside a mile! I thought ref was brave to send Nai-baws off esp at Ipox

Yeah Naismith went in two-footed with his studs up and in any other league it would have been a sending off but thats the SPL for you. Boogie Woogie should maybe have walked and Forster sending off was tricky but he spotted the dive when I thought it was a pen at first look. He also booked the Rangers captain which never happens and tried to play advantage. Still dont understand Brown booking though :97:

Always thought Murray was one of the better refs in the league since we played the CIS cup game against Dundee United a couple of years back and he had a great game.

thot it was a red card and a stick on pen. as said previously Iwould expect that outcome if it was hooper/mcgregor. on 1st look I thot naismith was caught for his sending off in the 2nd half so fair play to the ref All we claim to want is a level playing field from the refs and i feel we got that, yes he made a few mistakes but that is part of the game but the game changing decisions he got correct and cant be blamed for sammys offside as he had to go with his assistant

It's a sad sad day when we are praising a ref solely on the fact he actually sent a Hun off for diving.

FACT of the matter is he had a poor game...

Naismith had blatant dive inside box in 1st half-went unpunished.
Forster should NOT have been sent off, it was a yellow card offence.
Bougherra could easily have walked for his shocking tackle.
Edu threw a headbutt at Broony-again unpunished.
Sammy miles onside and straight through on goal-ok so that was linesman but a shocking decision.

He does not deserve credit but sad to say it was the best officiating at an Old Firm games this season.
