I was listening to the clyde phone in the other night and peter martin said he heard from a source that there was certain players within the dressing room that are deliberatly not trying so the manager gets sacked, althought its pretty obvious mowbray shouldnt be our manager and will be sacked soon, No player should ever behave in that manner, they are getting paid megabucks to play 1 game of football a week, and if they cant give 100% in 1 game then they should also follow mogga out the door, i believe if a manager cant motivate his team to play well for him then he shouldnt be there, but i also think players who refuse to give 100% for the manager and fans should also be booted out, what we need at celtic just now is winners and players who give there all for the team.
Who do u think peter martin could be talking about and why?

Yeah it's obvious Mowbray shouldn't be our manager. :87::31:
IF there are players deliberately not trying then they are a * disgrace and the sooner they're kicked out the club the better. Roll on January.............Last edited by a moderator: Nov 25, 2009 -

Scott McDonald is the glaringly obvious one, he's no better than Barry Ferguson was in his attitude towards Paul Le Guen - scarily similar imo.
McDonald should be punted ASAP & never be allowed to wear the strip again. His attitude stinks rotten.
I can't really see such glaring evidence of undermining the manager by not trying in the team, perhaps you could say the 2 usual CB's - but I think they're just * & too stupid to understand what Mowbray is trying to get over.
But Caldwell's decisions at the corners on Sunday which lead to the goals, showed that he "forgot" or disregarded his instructions to defend zonal.
I believe this is his inability to take on any instruction, lack of ability/intellegence rather than an attempt to undermine the manager. -

Mowbray is the man for the job.
I would not get rid of him. He has inherited a crap squad and needs to put his stamp on it. He has signed to first teamers and 1 on loan.
The players not trying imo are McDonald, Caldwell, McManus and Barry Robson but I think that is all nonsense but those 3 players have been poor this season.
Apart from winning and scoring the penalty on Sun Robson was the worst player on the pitch. His first touch was poor. Could not get the ball out of his feet in any instance and was just overall poor.
The only thing good to come out of sun was the pairing of Crosas and N'Guemo which I thought was perfect.
This week coming could be the kick start we need this season. A win on sat agains St. Mirren and then Midweek v Tel Aviv and then a good victory v Aberdeen all at home. We win them 3 games and hopefully that will give us some confidence -
to be honest i dont think thats the case, i cant see players deliberatly playing badly to get the manager the sack
-
The players who cant make a pass I'd say. The ones Mowbray wants to sell because they are not good enough.....
Allthough it sounds like bull. They are playing bad because they are bad players.
No matter who the manager is, there wouldnt be a lot more anyone could get from the current squad. -
Scott McDonald's attitude stinks. He clearly thinks he is better than he really is. When Tony Mowbray came I thought he would be inspirational in the same way Martin O'Neil and Tommy Burns were. I can't believe how quickly things have gone wrong. Watching Celtic on Sunday was dire. We look like a run of the mill Premier League team. The quality of Nakamura is totally missing.

Any player that undermines their manager should be sacked for gross misconduct, why should they continue to get paid for not doing their job?
Once they've done it once, they'll think they are in control and do it again as soon as something doesn't go their way and will undermine the entire club.
I'd be disappointed if any of our players were doing this, but if they were they don't deserve to wear those famous hoops. -

If any of the players are doing this they should be named and shamed , TM should come out and say the club is putting players x, y and z up for sale come the transfer window then we shall see how smart they are .

dont agree with u there mate, i think man for man each player was better than the falkirk players yet we couldnt win, mowbray could of got alot more out of them tht day, aswell as many others -
Does Peter 'source' Martin post on this board under the name Doctor Venglos perhaps???

if there are players not giving a rats ringpeice for the club and the fans? then fine the * and * sell them asap! i do not want * like this at our club:31:

i am sick to death of posters on here bagging players and their attitudes. Not one of us knows them personally and people seem to be making character references of players by how they kick a football, it stinks.
As for McDonald not trying, did u not watch the match against Falkirk, didnt really look like a player wanting the manager sacked, our central defense sucked last year, so now suddenly they suck and trying to get the manager sacked, where as last year they just sucked but were trying.
Stop posting crap and if someone is to post something discriminating about a player at least have a valid source, reference to refer to. You wouldnt like someone judging you from a distance without even knowing the first thing about your personal life. -
We might have an incline of who they are,we cant sell untill jan and theres no way of knowing if we can get rid of the Bad apples.one thing the manager can do is drop the
*,make them train on there own.this is one step he can take.......
but does he have the balls is another storyLast edited by a moderator: Nov 25, 2009 -

Throw a few dodgy singers into a band and they sound *, the same goes with the team right now, a few * players will make the team look *.
-
If, and I repeat if, there are a couple of bad apples in the dressing room then Mowbray MUST get rid of them in January before they start infecting the rest of the team. -
