There's a lot of it within our support right now and tbh some of it is completely understandable, I've even indulged in it in the past few weeks. However over the next few weeks, thanks to numerous call offs and a favour from ICT, we have the chance to go top of the league before we play the huns at new year.
This means that it is vital that we, as Celtic supporters, must unite and forget about all the negativity for a few weeks and instead focus on backing the team as best we can. Enough of the negativity for now, we'll deal with that after the huns game if needs be - the team needs us in the next few weeks and let's be honest we're no good as supporters if we're just gonna scream abuse at them at the games.
Unity is strength, * the huns.

I understand peoples concerns and they are totally acceptable, especially after the last few results......
But all the "Lennon out" brigade, will no doubt be in hiding when we are sitting top of the league after the weekend:38: -

I don't think it's understandable personally.
Lennon has won more respect from the support than people calling for his head after 2 draws in succession. The fact he went on a 15 or 16 game unbeaten run or whatever it was has bought him that respect, not the fact he was a tremendous player for us.
He'll be judged when the trophies are dished out and not before, as was always going to be the case. -
Of course we will all be happy if we are top of the league again if the game goes ahead on Saturday and we win. That is what we all want as Celtic supporters, but we have every right to criticize and analyse objectively any failings of the manager and the team if they are becoming apparent in the course of the league. Otherwise how else would we improve if we lie back on our laurels and assume that everything is nice and dandy, when it is obvious they are not. I also don't think we should count our chickens before they hatch.Let's get the job done first and see where we are at. Events recently have worked in our favour but it is up to us to capitalize on that good fortune.

I'm well aware of that but I just think that we really need to be positive within the next few weeks as the negativity will achieve nothing at a time where the team need our full backing as we enter, arguably, the most vital period of the season so far. A period which could well shape our season.

We have had Rangers drop two vital points against ICT, and with their game
being off we have the opportunity of going back on top again. -
I'd say that was a natural occurence rather than good fortune.
Both sides will drop points from now until the end, it's the reason why the 2 draws at home isn't the end of the world. -
I think it's all about perspective. At the time of the two concurrent home draws it seemed like a disaster for us.It no longers feels that way now with events and the passage of time. It was more the juxtaposition of the two draws that hurt more than anything.
Nobody likes blowing the opportunity of making progress. -

The fact that Rangers have dropped points is a massive bonus for us, they have to play more midweek games than us & have travelling & a smaller squad.
This being considered, they are 3 points ahead of us.
Yes, they have had the usual dodgy referee decisions - but we have lost pretty much every slightly difficult or important game under Lenny & no matter how much he talks of the usual "I told them it was going to be hard" stuff, the team goes out & lose goals 2 minutes into the 2nd half.
The Hearts defeat at Swinecastle, really reminded me of the Utrecht defeat away. Lenny basically said the exact same things & yet we still lost after the same problems.
He knew the defence was * & here we are in January looking for CBs, it's inexcusable.
I really want Lenny to succeed, but he's nowhere near ready to manage a club of the size of Celtic. He's the cheap option. He should be doing what MON did & Lambert is doing, getting experience first.
He's getting his experience at Celtic & it's cost us Europe & cost us to lose distance in a league that we should be running away with. Rangers are *, so is Samaras, Loovens & Murphy - a decent manager would be sitting 5 points clear ATM in this league...look at ICT & Hearts, on good runs with nothing compared to us.
I'm not negative, I just say it as I see it.
C'mon Lenny sort it out - or you'll be out. -

The 2 draws were never a disaster, the manner in which they occured i.e we're winning the game and then defensive stupidity crops up was more of a cause for concern than the lost 4 points were.
We're calling on our players to stand and up and be counted when the chips are down and then a majority of us as fans throw the towel in after a couple of setbacks. We should maybe try leading by example. -

The fans will give Lenny a much easier ride than others, due to the fact that he's more than earned it. I think every Celtic fan wants him to do well.
He's really good at the press conferences & looks good on the touchline.
I think a major mistake of his was to bring such an inexperienced team with him, he may have benefited better with a more experienced no:2, but he's his own man.
We've slagged Joostine, for bigging up himself & then failing to deliver. Lenny was banging on about bringing back the thunder to fortress Paradise & then squanders a 2-0 halftime lead at home to ICT, a team newly promoted from the 1st division. Not exactly backing up his ambition there is he?
It's players & individual mistakes costing us, but he picks the team & he knew the team before he got the job fulltime - so the buck stops with him.
Also worried about his obsession with overhyped EPL fuckwits, as we go chasing Ireland from Villa on another pointless loan like Bellemy & Keane before him.
I'd hoped to see more youth team guys given a chance with Lenny & although Towell might not be as good as Ireland, I think it would suit us better in the long run to see Richie in the squad over Stephen Ireland & use the money saved to sort the defence.
It's things like this that frustrates me & other fans, it's not negativity - it's trying to fathom the logic of some of the the seemingly ludicrous decisions being made.
If we get CBs who are up to the job in Jan, we will win the league.
We should've got them in the summer...mad. -

Good post, we need to stick together. not only because we have to beat the huns, we also have to beat the sfa.
unfortunately some "fans" are up their own * so much, they rather see celtic lose just to come on here and say "see I told you we are *". that kind of attitude shows what miserable lives they must have. can't drop their ego for the greatest football in the world.

A few new faces in january will not guarantee us the league but will certainly help our chances, the last few results and performances have left many deflated and lenny himself must be disappointed at the performances of late, despite this we have a chance to go top this weekend the players must rise to the challenge, certain individuals have to give more and prove they are worthy of a place in the first eleven.

I think that for a guy in his first season of management, whether you agree with him being selected or not, this is a good record.
Some people have said that when the pressure is on, or when we play a "hard" game, we bottle it, but Dundee United away, Kilmarnock away, Motherwell away, ICT away, Hibs at home, Hearts at home, are all "hard" games and we got results there. We lost to the huns, fair enough we have had a couple of slip ups but given the number of new faces we have, I think we are doing well. Enough of the negativity, lets get everyone behind Lennon and the lads and take back top spot :50: -

But the way we lose halftime advantages at hamoe is a worry. Rangers, Hearts & ICT have all used the same tactics to put pressure on the team & have all come away with results against us.
If Lenny can't sort that out we're * & 3rd place looms. However if hecan, then we can win the league & stop 3IAR.
We're only 3 points behind Rangers, but we're only 3 points ahead of Hearts who have won 6 games on the trot - including an easy 2-0 win over us.
Lets get away from negativity vs positvity bias & allow a bit of honest objectivity. Taking onboard constructive criticism will only help Lenny, i just hope he's able to do so, as making the same mistakes too many times will lose him his dream job.
It's frustrating that we're so near, yet so far...but it's a work in progress & we do need to get behind them yes - but if they keep making the same mistakes then they deserve criticism & dropping points from a halftime advantage at home, is not how to win the league.
