It is all down to the last 4 years because that is how long this has been going on, so it is not just a flash in the pan and spur of the moment, yes we will give NL more time than others but only so much will the fans take and then it will get messy if things don't turn around, not just him but this board will take flack as well, so they better get it right in Jan:50:

When you're playing catch up to a terrible, terrible Rangers team who have been forced to play youngsters then there is very little to be positive about.

The simple solution to bring back the good times is to sign quality players like before when the board were showing a bit of ambition. To me, there's no point kidding yourself on. We've been pish ever since WGS left and this started in his final season. The writing was on the wall.

Believe Bhoys, believe. I think we have a good enough squad, a good enough team ethic and therefore why can't we win the league?

I would only buy in January if we can land a really decent CB who has pace. If not then I don't think that we should panic buy.

I'm 100% behing Neil and the lads, I wouldn't be a proper Celtic fan otherwise.

    Says who?

It's almost, to a man, the EXACT same defensive, result churning side that reached the UEFA cup final.

To suggest they are 'terrible, terrible' is a complete fallacy and is only peddled to try and slate Celtic by suggesting what we're up against is no good.

They are the 2 in a row Champions and Celtic are not, they are the benchmark this season and Celtic are not.

My worries re. Neil Lennon run a bit deeper than just drawing two games in a row at home.

My worries more centre around the following things:

    1. Neil Lennon has been in charge for 8 months and our defence looks no better than it was when he first took over.

    2. When matches are slipping away from us he doesn't seem to know how to turn it around whether that be through tactical changes or substitutions. Away to Utrecht was the most stark example of this.

    3. His lack of experience

Still, having said all this I am not calling for his head. I think it's too soon to throw in the towel and start a 'Lennon Out' campaign. I hope to see a quality centre-back arriving in January and then hopefully some real progress can be made.

I really want Neily to prove my doubts wrong and be a good manager for us. It would make me so happy to see Neily standing holding that SPL trophy aloft in May as Celtic manager. I just have my doubts as to whether that's a sight I'll ever see.

Anyway the OP is correct......for the next few weeks we really need to get behind the bhoys and make this a positive festive period. :celt_2:

People who think Rangers must be a * team because they are in debt, use your common sense, they didnt get into debt by * there money away on Lottery tickets, rangers spent big money on the squad they have atm.

And to suggest Celtic bottle it in the big games, i find it funny that they are only big games IF we lose/draw.

Faithfull Through And Through. Keep The Faith.

Good post from Markbhoy, agree with every bit. I am really concerned about our backline, we went for the cheap options (Cha, Mulgrew, Maj etc) and the old saying 'you get what you pay for' seems to be correct in this case. Instead of going out and getting players on a free we should have re-invested some of the McGeady funds on a quality centre back.

Despite a good start I am not convinced by Maj, nor am I convinced with Jos, as a matter of a fact the only CB we have at our disposal that I actually rate is Rogne, who at 20 years of age seems to know how to defender better than our other defenders which is quite depressing really.

Our depature in europe was a massive dissapointment, our inability to defend against any half decent team should have really forced Lennon to go out and pay a few quid for a good CB.

January should see a few new faces which is what we need, personally I would like 2 centre back's brought in, a right back and if Sammy is sold we could do with a striker.

The next month could be excellent or a utter disaster, if we win every game leading up to the OF game with them in Jan then we will go into that game top, I am certain of that.

We have to really get behind the team in this period of the year, if not I fear our little run of games coming up. If we don't cut out the negativity then the following will probably happen:

    1) We draw against teams like Hamilton, Killie and Aberdeen.

    2) We get pumped 3 or 4-0 at Ibrox

    3) Celtic Park will be a place where no one wants to be on matchday

However, I doubt this will happen, if we beat Accies (presuming the game goes ahead, there is a pitch inspection at quarter to eight tomorrow) then this place will be positive again.

Basically if the team has won their last game then we are positive, if the team lost or drew their last game then they are negative.

So it is basicly all down to the fans not getting behind the team, I have been to all the games at Celtic Park and a few away games and fans have always been behind the team, so don't put this down to the fans fault the fault is with the players and management not us:38:

Do you moan this much when you're actually at the matches or do you save it all up for here? Just curious.
