Despite his lack of trophies for us he was by far and away the player with the most quality in our team in the early 90's. McStay was coming down off his peak and Collins took up his mantle of bossing midfield and scoring goals.
Just a shame he was with us when we had the worst team we've had since the 50's!
Have met him once and my dad has several times and always has time for a chat (unlike a few other ex-Celts - *cough* Paul Lambert!) . Top bloke as well as a Celtic and Scotland legend imho. -
My first favourite player as a wee, wee guy.
Much preferred him to McStay actually and he went and had a good career in both France and the Premiership. -
Brian McClair is supposedly an absolute *, btw. -

I've heard Henrik is quite aloof too.
I think it's just some people's personality. -
Always annoys me that players like John Collins never experienced league success with us but the like of Burley did. I know it can't be helped just one of those things that * me off.
-
JOHN Collins no time for the *, he sold us a pup, and nearly sold us the other runt of the litter.
-
Anyway, cheers for the link. Giving this a listen now. -
