    why was delia not allowed to appoint his own No 2. Collins only looks after himself for example when he walked out on celtic and joined monaco on a bosman. Aye, he's a right celtic man!!!!!

    I highly doubt he knew who Collins was before Celtic and Lawwell came a calling. I think Collins was put upon Deila.

    Not that I'm unhappy with his appointment.

    Agree. In fact I now have even higher hopes for Ronny by showing such insight with this appointment. He is aware he needs someone who knows the demands of the club, has knowledge of our game but yet has a similar philosophy. No doubt Collins was a name put to him but I'm sure Ronny would have the final say, if he didn't believe him to be the right man he wouldn't have appointed him.

    he did * off the first chance he got. nobody came in for him, he then signed a new contract, ran it down then * off for a tax free wage.

    Just like the majority of players nowadays then.

    He gave a lot of his career to Celtic and if we were too stupid to extend his contract or sell him then that's our fault not Collins'.

    I'd say that's partly true, pl probably gave ronny a heads up on some suitable candidates byt ultimately i'm positive ronny brought him in because he was the best man for the job.. Not because the board forced it upon him..

    How come?

    I saw somewhere else about collins players turning against him at hibs.. They have done that with there last few managers that has led to the state and excuses been coming out of there dressing room for years and now look at them..
    I'm sure he had the likes of o'connor and riordan etc to deal with at the time, there best players who as we know have gone on to be un manageable..

    I wouldn't take to much notice of that, i have even higher hopes for the season.. Can't wait..

    Good appointment, I definitely think we'll see a difference in our fitness levels for next season. They were never really an issue but successful sides in modern football press all over the park which we haven't ever really done. Hopefully that will become a feature rather than an exception.

    What did henrik do again???! Both were great servants to the club, Collins unlucky that Celtic were * poor when he was here!! Can't grudge either for wanting to progress and both went on to do just that
