I was just reading that and the article is all about him being in the managers plans. It also says he’s their longest serving player having been there for 5 years which seems mental.

Probably can't afford to buy him outright he just recently signed a new contract. Maybe we could get a 2 year loan deal. We don't keep good players much longer than that these days anyway

I doubt it would be loan to buy, signed a new contract in November taking him to 2028. It would just be kicking the can down the road and with Taylor's contract ending next summer would leave us with needing 2 left backs next summer.
