Under Strachan it was Nakamura (with JVoH a close second). I'd read a lot about him and obviously he's the kind of player that gets the fans buzzing.
Prior to that I think Paulo Di Canio stands out for me. -
i forgot about mizuno too after watching him on youtube:50:

Chris Sutton by far, i couldnt believe it, was really happy! also Gravesen, although that 1 never lived up to the hype.

Joos Valgaeren. Especially since Advocaat came out on the morning of the 6-2 game and said that he had a choice between signing Joos and Konterman. We know who he signed...and we know who got rag-dolled by henke and sutton that day

I remember when we signed Alan Stubbs, it seemed like a right pivotal signing for us.
We paid big money for someone that was interesting some of the bigger English teams. I also loved the way they just signed him. It wasnt dragged out for weeks in the papers, i just remember picking up the paper and he was signed, suited and booted! -
Signings that stand out in my memory are Phil O'Donnell, Di Canio and Andy Thom.
Does anyone remember when we were apparently looking to sign Guiseppe Signori? -
keano 4 me! my all time fave football player comming to celtic (dream come true)! :icon_mrgreen:

In all honesty mine was Roy Keane i was buzzing for days when he was confirmed.. i thought we were gonna get 2/3 quality years from a quality player needless to say he never really got going..
Also Ian Wright a few years back was only young and was at his debut.. one of my first ever games at Paradise.. he was some stocking of sh1te for us.. -
Gravesen for me, but totally let down by his inability to stick to any formation.

Was delighted for us to have signed Jiri Jarosik after a quality season at Birmingham (Scored 12 Premiership goals for a relegated side)...what a dud he was though. :31:

Neil Lennon for me strangely enough, I remember Leicester were doing well at the time they'd just lifted the coca cola cup or whatever it was then and he was pretty much their best player. And also Lubo because he made such an immediate impact and went onto be for me one of the greatest Celts ever. -
