Have you seen Guidetti's record since he left? He was a cracking player for a while but his attitude and fitness destroyed any chance he had of being even a decent player for any team at a decent level.

Think how much Broony improved when Rodgers came in shows that to be false.

During Deilas years the amount of chances Griffiths had and missed put us under more pressure in games, but was glossed over when he eventually scored to get us the result.
A second but not really opinion but just a thought, I only saw Paul McStay play in the mid 90s till he retired, and only seen clips of him before, so never understood the hype he has now, but I believe the hype was justified. -
I don’t have any ill will to Brendan Rodgers...

After failing in the CL qualifiers and not even getting into the Europa, the transfer window closing without any players of any quality being signed and loosing the opening league games , Ange tells the board to * off and goes back to Japan leaving Kennedy and Strachan for the season !!!

There are soooo many examples of players underwhelming in their first season, to then go on to become important players for us. E.g Brown, Caldwell, Loovens, K.Wilson, Samaras, Mjallby etc etc
Football fans in general are incredibly fickle, so you can't expect most to remember that. But anyone who has had only 1 season at us should almost always be allowed a second. There are exceptions, of course. Loanees being one. And occasionally it is blindingly obvious a player won't make it. Though saying all that, it's hard to justify Barkas. I saw very few glimpses of talent from him last year.Sydneysider likes this.
