Would like to be a bit more confident going into this but we've been too hot and cold to say for sure.
If we hit our proper levels we win, plain and simple. It's just getting there that's not a gimme. Hoping rather than expecting.seanm likes this. -

Nervous..
Hope we do it but we're a bit fragile when pressed and don't take our chances to kill games..
Edit: Just seen their result today and lineup though. Itten up top. Young defence bar one 33 year old and a young keeper they've recalled..
If we turn up, we should proper do them. Defensively they've looked laughably bad in their European games..
Their top goalscorer is 16th in their top flight with 4 goals and 1 assist..
They're 9th in a 12 team league and just drew nil nil at home to the bottom side..
They're joint 7th for goals scored in their league. 25 in 19 games..
They're third highest for goals conceded in their league. 29 in 19 games..
They really are pitiful. It's no like their European form is any different either..
The more and more I've been looking at this mob, the more I'm no worried at all :giggle1:Last edited: Jan 18, 2025 at 8:46 PM -

We need to be clinical and stop missing so many chances.

Support needs to back the team and not go into it expecting the game to be a walk in the park.
I think we’ll put in a big performance.seanm likes this. -

We haven't had that fire lately and I'm hoping we go into this showing some * appetite for success. That's not really what I'm anticipating if I'm honest, I'm sort of expecting us to come out flat and * it up. But I hope like * I'm way off. Needs to be a win, we've waited long enough to go to the next level in Europe.

I'm nervous, we've been making a meal of some things that should be routine and underperforming in certain aspects lately. A convincing win and performance with the place bouncing would be ideal.

I hope in training we are using the smaller goals for our finishing routines so when we play young boys the normal goals look massive. We HAVE got to put those chances away.HH

Can't wait for this. Win and we are in the playoffs

It should be noted that was their first competitive game back (so yesterday's game could be rust) after pretty much a month long winter break, so will have had time to freshen up and focus on this Celtic game, while our Bhoys have been slogging through a heavy fixture schedule. So while Celtic should be confident (especially as they can 100% book a place in the next phase), YB cannot be taken for granted.kenyan_bhoy, MagicBallBhoy and seamus1967 like this. -
Just watching highlights of them there, they are a big side and they have carved out a few chances in games. Ugrinic who takes there set plays seems to have decent delivery so need to watch that.
They do look very suspect at the back and their midfield doesn’t appear to protect them much so we should get chances.
We need to turn up and at it. If we get ourselves in front they have shown a tendency to collapse in previous games.
