With a probable (appeal permitting) second round encounter against Stenhousemuir, we are in a great position to have a good cup run, giving some fringe players, and new players, game time as has been mentioned. Agree with Hooiveld - if possible, give him a half. Loovens is probable to be fit again (thank *) and we need to get those two attuned to playing with one another, such is our dire state at the back at present.

Fortune to continue, and hopefully bag a couple of goals to get confidence up. Irrespective of what we think of him as a player, he's ours now and we need him firing on all cylinders.

Dont think Hooiveld is available as he was signed after the original date of the Tie ..

Think Thompson should get a start as he done well and play O'Dea at left back as he aint a centre half and has got to be better than Naylor.

With Stephen McManus, Scott McDonald, Scott Brown, Danny Fox, Shaun Maloney, Milan Misun & Ki Sung Yong all injuried, Jos Hooiveld not match fit & Paul McGowan suspended, we don't have many choices to be honest, & I think Lee Naylor will be dropped, looks like he might be Ipswich bound anyway & think Boruc will be rested for this one.

I agree George why don't we go down the route of playing DEFENDERS at full-back. I can't fault Hinkel who's had a great season, but Naylor is dire.

So although O'Dea was culpable for the goal against Falkirk, how about him at CB and tell him not to go over the halfway? Once Mick missed that head O'Dea had to come across - where was Naylor? Full-backs are supposed to cover the hole behind CB's who attack the ball. Just horrendous from those 3 :(

    If not O'Dea then Wilson.

M8 a just think that O'Dea along with McManus aren't CB material and seem to play better when they play as Full-Back.
