Probably because he was playing at the his level. Serously the guy is mince, never been more than 4th choice out of rank pool of CBs and couldnt hold down a place at a team who might get relegated from the championship. Only playing because our top Cb has been sold, and Jos and Mick are not fit. Still 4th choice.

 

interesting that most say Naylor was good tonight but some are still panning him. It was the same last weekend when he did a lot more than Fox normally does but gets panned because of a couple of bad crosses towards the end. IMO he had a shocker of a season a couple of years back and because of that you still get lots of folk who say hes crap even when he has been playing well. It was the same with Caldwell. He was solid for his last couple of months after a bad early season but people just kept panning him for every minor mistake. I think some people are mentally inflexible and once they have made their minds up that is it.

Caught the highlights and, although they don't give the full picture, it looked quite poor.

It was a pretty strong side and to only beat a lower league Scottish side by a goal to nil isn't convincing enough.

As for the game, well at times I think it was difficult to tell the teams apart based on the football being played, yes it's a cup tie, it's away from home, but too many of our own players just didn't look interested enough.

Fortune and Samaras are hopeless as a partnership, they simply don't communicate at all, they play miles apart, they might as well be on spearate teams.

Loovens still doesn't convince me that he's the answer at CB, caught too many times with a simple straight ball, even against Morton's part timers he looked un-easy.

Finally to the morons engaged in fighting with Morton fans after the game, we don't want you at Celtic Football Club, you bring disgrace to our club.

Aye the racist comments came from our fans , and they wasnt exactly just the normal , i posted this back during the first champs league qual , that fans was racist to Fortune in only his 1st game for us , calling him a useless black b and Kenny miller with a suntan etc , Total scum .

 

The flares and smoke bombs are imense, I don't know why we don't have them at every game (including home games).
