If we can get about £8m i would sell him as long as all the money went to the manager to bring in a few players.

Agreed although it not good selling one of your best players but if it went to benefit the team then i would sell. -
I think now might be the time to take the money and run. 7M and its a deal.
We have Niall McGinn waiting in the wings . No pun intended :56: -
i would accept half that for Mcgeady he is probably the most overrated player in scotland. Dont know about Mcginn a good replacement but if we get 7 million we should go for adam johnston or Chris Brunt, who are both better than Mcgeady
-
If its true, id take the money and run!!!! hes so over rated, one good game in 3 or 4! this season was the big one for him and hes not done it so far! Id like to see mcginn get his chance, was ooutstandinf for northern ireland again, man of the match. -

How true is this story? I can't say. If it IS true though then I would sell him. Over the last 6 months I have reached the conclusion that Aiden McGeady flatters to deceive a lot. So if we could get 7 or 8 million for him then I'd definitely take it. That money could be invested in a centre-back and a new striker. I think if we lost McGeady and got a new centre half and a new striker we'd be in a stronger position than we are now. Just my opinion.

I'm not a fan of his,he flatters to deceive as far as i'm concerned,i'm not doubting his talent but we just don't see it enough. If this story is true i'd take the money and as has been said in pevious posts re-invest it in the team.

If they offer £8 Million for Mc Geady I'd say yes, however it must be given to the manager to help rebuild the team.

sell! sell! sell!

£7m you say? I'd take it in a heartbeat, that's a very good offer considering we can maybe find some winger who is better than Aiden for only £3-5m.
-
they can get to * :bbpd: McGeady is one of thebest players up here

I dont think he would go to Birmingham hr probably sees himself playing for Arsenal or the likes. £7m would be a fantastic price though would take it in a second.

not sure if we can trust mowbray with 8 million to be honest

The guy can't even beat Liam Lawrence to a play in the Ireland team. I'd sell him
-
Cannot see any top 4 premiership team going for McGeady, he'd probably shine for Birmingham once they are back in the championship though:56:.
I'd take the money but only if we are able to use the money to strengthen in Jan, otherwise i'd rather keep him until the summer and look at it again then. -

If tm said he felt selling mcgeady was the right thing to do id say ok BUT to sell him for 7 million would be silly because simple as this any club wants our players we dont have to sell so they pay top dollar or go away because lets not forget mcleash is under pressure too so we should be playing hardball because like it or not every player has his price
-
although one of the better players in the squad, would sell him if the right offer came in.
funny thing is i really dont think mowbray would get all the money, i imagine he would get just under half, if not less. other funny thing is i cant really see mcgeady making it in the premiership. full backs would catch on to his tricks eventually and just go straight through him. these guys arent 20 year olds who are going to be at the same club all their career, and who pull apprentice wages -
i'd try and squeeze a bit more out of them, he's our most bankable asset probably. for £10m i'd drop him off there myself. too good for birmingham but not good enough for top 6 epl side.
-
As talented as he is, he doesn't seem to be progressing anymore.
Id take 7.
