He hasn't been sold, it's a loan deal until the end of the season.

i sincerely hope mick can go down there and rediscover his form and come back and proove us all wrong, he is capable of being a very good CB i just think that perhaps the responsibility of being captain was a bit too much for him and translated in his performances over the last season and a half; one thing we can never doubt about mick is his utter commitment every time he pulled on the celtic jersey

If he can do well under Strachan down south, I'd be delighted if he stayed there. I really like the guy, he'd go through brick wall for us, but unfortunately we're all aware (including him) he's poor footballer. All the best for these 5 months, hope he does well for them.

I'd much prefer a loan over a outright sale. :31: Hope the lad does well.

I'm not sad to see him go, but only because it's a loan and hopefully he can come back a better player. I've always liked him, he's a Celtic die-hard, he tries to lead, but he has had a terrible season. I don't think he was comfortable with Mogga asking him to transform himself into a ball-playing centre-half. He's old school. This is why I question Mogga - does he look to play to player's strengths? Away and rejuvenate yourself lad. Come back better.

hope the big man comes back solid and is a rock in our defence he is celtic to the core 100%

a loan deal that i personally hope is made permanent.i know he's 100% celtic,so am i but i wont be made captain and allowed play and * up time and time again.
good servant to the club but IMO he's an accident waiting to happen.always capable of doing something stupid once or twice every game,if he's sold then the money will come in handy for a replacement! :50: -

So we've now got rid of two of our most experienced centre backs and replaced them with a 19 year old who noone has even heard of and hasn't kicked a ball since November.
A dutch guy that noone has ever heard of who isn't even infront of Glen Loovens in the Dutch set up and hasn't kicked a ball since November.
An English youth player who only played 8 games for STOCKPORT and has barely kicked a ball since signing with us (Admittedly he's looking good {Thomo})
I'm seeing a very worrying patern developing here.
I'm dissapointed with the sale of Fox and i'm dissapointed that Mick has been let go on loan.
We have barely any defenders as is, we have 2 days to sign folk and knowing Celtic we'll sign Willo Flood.
We have now let 8? players leave and brought in 3 or 4? 2 of which haven't kicked a ball for 3 months and one of which is a 19 year old...
Stop me if i'm going overboard but i'm seeing a scenario where the 10 point gap isn't going to get cut at all, infact i'd imagine it's going to get bigger.
The money men will be laughing, i'm certainly not. -
Thank you for all your efforts Mick but please stay at Boro.
Not good enough for Celtic and never has been I'm afraid. Rash defender and terrible footballer, I could see no reason other than his professionalism and temprament as to why he was captain of club and country and finally a football manager agrees.
