    No doubt, but it is also up to Celtic to be clear about information release timetables. Have Lanus blown the timing of the deal? No doubt the financial year has some bearing on the signings, and possibly Lanus were looking to get the sale on this years books.

    Mate announcements and the actual transfer are two different things.

    If the deal was signed yesterday it doesn’t matter if the announcement was in a week. Both clubs have to submit the agreement into FIFA’s system.

    Yes I get announcements and signing contracts are different things.

    The timings seem all wrong, this transfer could have been wrapped up early in the week, but it’s been held off for some reason.

    Two reasons for being held off are financial year, or/and red card suspension. Has it been announced by Lanus to try pressure Celtic to sign/submit the paperwork earlier than Celtic wanted(just like Spurs did with CCV)? When another team announces the departure before a signing, it’s poor form and something hasn’t gone right.
