We have to waite till Thursday. According to PAP (Polish Press Agency) Celtic and Wisla have agreed transfer fees. Zurawski has been obligated (I'm not joking) by Wisla Board to take decision before the end of June. It seems that these guys also want Zurawski to stop "thinking" and to make final decision. like mentioned above, wisla have given zurawski until thursday to decide. the club claims a transfer fee (3mil) and contract with the player have been agreed upon, and now they are just waiting for the player to decide. also, wisla claims that there has been no official contact with the turks, so it looks like the previous report by przeglad sportowy was bogus (as always). hopefully zuraw comes to his senses and signs on with celtic.

In fact Trabzonspor didnt make official offer 3,1 mln euro, it was only phone talk! Everybody are impatient, Maciek is thinking and time is running. But I try to understand him, he was playing all his life in Poland so this is very important and stressing decision for him. I think that in one interview he even said that it is the most important decision in his life but he had enough time to think it over!

Its been mentioned before that the announcement of some signings may well be held back to coincide with the start of the nike sponsorship and release of the new strip on the 1st of July, and this is starting to make some sense now. At least I hope so! its certainly something you can see nike wanting.

Not doing much for my stress levels though!

    And so the saga continues...

Zurawski still unsure about joining Celtic

Wisla Krakow's and Polish NT forward Maciej Zurawski is still undecided whether to sign with Celtic Glasgow. He got obliged by his club to make the final decision on that matter until 30th of June.

    - We expect Maciek to inform both us and Celtic whether he leaves to Scotland or not until Thursday - says Wisla's spokesman Jerzy Jurczynski. - The news about Trabzonspor still fighting for our forward and having placed a higher bid were not confirmed. We have not received any written offers from the Turks.

Wisla and Celtic are said to have reached an agreement about the sale of Zurawski. Scotish side agreed to pay 3mln Euros for the player. They have also came to terms with the player as well. However, Zurawski is still to make his mind.

There's a possibility that Trabzonspor or any other club is negotiating with the player in private. No later than on Thursday everything will be clear.

Let's all take a deep breath and calm down...many newspaper reports (In Poland and Scotland alike) claim that Celtic and Wisla have agreed a fee. A Wisla spokesman said they didn't receive an official bid from Trabzonspor...everythings going according to plan in my opinion. We just need to give the man time, he's gonna go through a major change in not only his lifestyle, but also his footballing career.

I think he will end up here. He would be a class signing IMO.

    hi all

i just want to say word about whole situation
why zuraw still cant make up his mind?
no, its not about the money (well, lets be honest, not just the money ;))
so my point of view about couple things:

    1.why celtic?
ok, this is obvious for all visiting this forum right? :)
    - celtic is celtic, great club, tradition, players etc
    - fair contract
    - great place to promote oneself
    - champions league
    - new challenge

    2. why trabzonspor?
    no such tradition, reputation... so?
    - his friend, szymkowiak, changed wisla for trabzon last winter
he scored 9 goals in 18 matches (...or so, not sure about match played) as a midfielder!! and became a key player to this club playing for just half season
trabzon pushed down to 3rd place Galatasaray (only first two plays in champions league qf) so there again:
    - champions league qf
    - little higher (from last news, not official afaik) contract (but surely not THAT high to be the real problem for joinin celts)
    - also a good place to get promoted (some rumours about juve watching szymkowiak.. just rumours i guess, but if another season will be so great - who knows)
    - new challenge (galatasaray, besiktas, fenerbahce and - overall - more balanced league than scottish - imho ;))
    - also a senol gunes as a coach may a be good reason (3rd place with turks in 2002)

also there are some rumours about zuraw negotiating with another club, but this is only a whistling in the dark i guess

If he waits until the end of June to join Celtic then I think a lot of people would think that the delay was pre-arranged with Nike to give a publicity boost to the new strip. Beyond that though I can understand that this is a big decision for him personally. If it were to go beyond the end of June, however, I would be less happy.

sounds like Cadette or Viduka all over again - one minute he;s coming - the next he's not - just wait for the huge wage demand - that will be the next thing

if a team the size of celtic cant be an instant draw for ( no offence to the poliush lhads) third(footballing) world footballers - then do we really want him?

I was in Africa when all this "Zurawski saga" started, but as a Tim and as a Pole I'm very excited. I'm from Warsaw and I follow Legia instead of Wisla, but I cannot disagree with all that was said so far. Maciej is a complete, great striker and if he even has worst pace then Bellamy, he's better in all other aspects. I still hope he'll make up his mind and become the third Pole wearing Green and White. :ynwacelti Common the Hoops! :ynwacelti
