Very bad news:Trabzonspor offered 3,1 mln euro. Zuraw have to decide until end of June where he wants to go. Żuraw: ". If the difference would be smaller I would choose Celtic becouse it is superb firm. I dont know which offer will I choose". Source: Przegląd Sportowy(newspaper). Zuraw please dont go to Turkey!!!!!!

 

just read the same article...the only source of consolation is that the once reliable przeglad sportowy has turned into a tabloid the past couple of years, so i'm not sure how much truth there is in the story...either way, pretty disappointing stuff.

if zuraw goes to turkey, i'll be extremely disappointed as it will show that he is in it solely for the money (the paper claims that trabzonspor gave him a considerable raise compared to celtic) like, unfortunately, many polish players have been in the past only to see their careers fail (ie. juskowiak - could have been great). come on zuraw, get your head straight and sign with celtic already, it is much closer to la liga from celtic than trabzonspor.

 

I also think that if he decides on Trabsomething it will be caused only becouse of money. If it happens he will loose a lot of sympathy in my eyes. Celtic has tradition, class, fame. Zuraw thinks too long, Im a little angry at him, there is nothing to think about. I was sure that he will sign today but now I doubt it.
Zuraw would be a * in Turkey, he knows it, it shows the turkish football level. He should play on higher level in Celtic, develop himself, try to be the best inf front of european audience, he would have to work for respect here.
But the decision belongs to him.
I hope it will not turn out that he is afraid of challenges and follow only money and easy fame.

don't want to be too pessimistic, but it looks like the possibility of zurawski coming to CP is dwindling. unless a big time european club is in the running for him ( and no, trabzonspor does not qualify), then he is making a big mistake. as for Aliadiere, this would be a great pick up for celtic...500k for a one year loan, that's a steal

 

i think strachan is keeping his options open regardin the new-look forwardline. bellamy, zuraw, alialdiere, i think hes waiting to be let down on one front and choose another option. jeremy would do well up here, i would still rather have zurawski though. Im pleased with GS, hes done all he can regarding maciej and if he is let down there will still be another good forward joining the club.

 

Trabzonspor can OFFER much more than Celtic which doesn't mean they can actually PAY it. It took them half a year (!) to rise 3.1 Euros for Zurawski. I don't think the money is the issue, then. Remember there's Maciek's former long-time teammate - Szymkowiak - playing in Trabzon and it's well known Zurawski finds it hard to settle in the new area. That's the whole point I guess - Zurawski expects Celtic to pay a little extra for blowing the opportunity to play with his good friend, NOT to compensate for the higer wage offered by the Turkish side.

 

Turks were unable to submit bank guaranties for 2.5m EUR. Now they offer 3.1m EUR. IMHO they try to sabotage current negotiations with Celtic. If they will be succesful I suspect them to withdraw current offer. Just my 2"

 

Poland doesn't have actually such a good player like Zurawski is. His future in Celtic depends of himselves. He hasn't had any chance to improve his playing in Polish leaque, couse he got everything. Now it is the best period of time to him to play best footbol ever. Thanks this we could see him in champion leaque too. I think Celtic is the best choise. Everybody say that. We hope he won't disapointment us.

thats why hes worth £2m and better value for money. Bellamy is a class act but hes not a consistent goalscorer. And from what ive seen of Zurawski he scores consistently for both club and country. he could well be a 30+ goalscorer, maybe not in his first season, but he will adapt. PS, could you try and fix your keyboard mikeybhoy, try and stop the jam on the capslock!

 

Whats that outburst based on? your extensive knowlage of polish footballers and bellamys prolific record at celtic. Bellamy threatens to be good he has yet to establish himself.

 

magic looks a much better goalscorer than bellemy, and we need that desperatley at cp, not someone who has all the pace of achilles and not enough end product

 

Milky, you may shout with your caps lock on, but that will not change the fact thah Bellamy is an * comparing to Zurawski. We could all see the WC qualies game Poland- Wales, in which Wales lost 3-1, and Bellamy could do nothing but yelling, kicking opponents legs and playing bully brutal. He has no class, like Maciek do. I hope you'll soon have opportunity to see Zuraw in action and forget that Bellamy boy.

I've watched all the Celtic strikers/forwards play
since the middle sixties. Bellamy scored some
good goals for us, but he's also missed some
really important ones, like at Fir Park .
To say Zurawski is inferior to CB is ridiculous,
Z looks a natural and finishes like one. Some
of the 125 odd goals of his I've watched so far,
are sublime. The one against Engerlunderland
especially.
But I guess everyone's entitled to have an
opinion.

Zurawski and Bellamy are both class players but i agree with you Brig Bhoy i think that Zurawski can finish much better that Bellamy and Bellamy has missed a few goals for us and i dont think that would be the case with Zurawski but thats just my opinion.
