Is it just me or are we strengthining the squad in an area that didn't need much. I'm delighted that we have signed Zurawski and Aliadere but we already have Sutton, Hartson, Beattie and Maloney. If we buy Bellamy as well we will be very top heavy. I believe that we needed more money spent on a goalkeeper and more defenders, possibly another midfielder as well.

I agree but if we do sign Bellamy for a reported £6m then we have spent about £8.5m on strikers leaving very little money, if any to strengthen the rest of the team. If we do this our offence will have cost us £6m for Hartson, £6m for Sutton, £6m for Bellamy, £2.3m for Zurawski and almost £1m to get Aliadere on loan, an overall cost over £21m. While our defence has cost us just 50K!!! As Balde was a free as was Varga and Camara while Agathe cost us 50K in compensation. Our goalkeeper Marshall also cost us nothing us he came up through the youth set-up. For me these figures just don't make any sense, or is it just me?

totally agree. If we do sign Bellers,Zurawski and Alliadiare then whot happens to Sutton,Hartson and Beattie as Strachan has already stated that he prefers a

4-4-2 formation. So..will Sutton get sold along wif Hartson. I dont see the point in bringin in Allidiare to be honest as although he is promising he is injury prone and would mabye not even get a game. So i think we should jst attempt to buy Magic Zuraw and Bellers and have big John on the bench along wif Beattie. Then push Sutton back to CB. Easy

We will be CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS 2006......EASY...EASY

I wish I was as confident. I think that Sutton will be moved into defence with Hartson partnering Zurawski upfront with Aliadere on the bench. Sadly though the signing of Aliadere will probably end Beattie and Maloney's chances at CP. If we sign Bellamy then I think that we might play him out wide as he has played there both for Celtic giving us a midfield of Thompson, Lennon, Petrov and Bellamy with McGeady on the bench and Hartson and Zurawski upfront. Not a bad team im sure you would agree.

Did Bellers not cause a stink at NUFC when he was played out of position?

Personally do not believe in signing Bellamy. I would prefer (kill me if you want) signing 2 decent and creative midllefielders (one of them must be a quick winger who can cross and shot on the goal) Just my 2'

In response to Celtic Babe it was reported that one of the reasons he was causing trouble was because he being played out of position but it was also reported that he caused trouble because he wasn't actually getting a game at all as Souness favoured a strike force of Kluivert and Shearer. I think that if he was playng every week then he would not be bothered.

In response to XXI a quick winger who could cross and score goals would cost us a fortune as there are so few players in the world who can do this. Personally, I believe that McGeady can do this and he is only going to improve.

Imo Hartson upfront is a must cos Żurawski will need flick-ons to deliver. If I were GS I'd let Bellars go as I cant imagine him happily warming the bench. Aliadiere along with Beattie could be backup options and Sutty is just far too versatile to be left out as sb mentioned earlier. Shaun on a year loan and thats it! Class defender is what we really need now.... Dellas?

I've seen a lot of Bellamy (when he was playing in Newcastle) plus few games with Celtic and much more of Zurawski (both for Lech Poznan and Wisla, and Poland of course) and I can hardly believe that there are people that can put both those players on the same level... but hey, that's just me and propably the fact, that I've seen more good football from Zurawski than from Bellamy... but in my humble opinion if we would play one player upfront, then Bellamy would hit the bench.

sutton would be brilliant at centre back but would he be happy playing there?i doubt bellamy will be at CP next year and if he is he wont be a right winger, hes an upstart and has already complained at newcastle that he views himself as a striker not a winger.
