Defo a few players in there. Gutting that it seems we won't see them getting a run. Next season even less so.

Some goal by Nesbit on that UEFA youth page.

Why would we be seeing less of our youth players next Season?

Tierney, McGregor and Forrest all play regularly under Deila. Our current Manager has proven - good enough, old enough.

Because the Zombies will be up. If he's too cautious to bleed the likes of Nesbit now then it will be worse next season.

Don't think you can use Forrest as an example of Ronny bringing through our youth. He was an established player and is 24 now.

Tierney fair play, although the alternative was a clearly finished Izzy.

McGreggor again was in his 20s and had a full season experience elsewhere.

Tierney is the only viable example.

As much as I seem to be having a go, I'd like nothing more than for him to prove me wrong and if we have one other young player straight out our Dev squad playing fairly regularly by the end of the season then I'll gladly accept I'm wrong.

    I just don't see it.

Likewise if Henderson is playing regularly next season.

In all seriousness, it's great to have a successful youth team going. Hopefully we start to see a few more products from there making the step up in the next year or two.

CELTIC’S ability to put their training ground plans into practice on the pitch has been the key to their recent success in the SPFL Development League, according to Luke Donnelly.
The Hoops forward bagged his first goal of the season yesterday (Friday) against Inverness Caley Thistle as Tommy McIntyre’s side powered to a 4-0 victory over the Highlanders to go six points clear at the top of the league with two games in hand.
The result followed Monday’s 4-1 win over Hamilton and continued the Celts’ unbeaten run in the league this season, and Donnelly said there is a simple reason for the team’s positive performances.
“I thought we played well against Inverness and controlled the game from start to finish,” he said. “We’re trying to implement the things we’re doing in training, like getting the ball down the line and crossing into the box, and a few goals came from that.
“We’re also a threat at set-pieces and I thought we looked dangerous at that and always looked as if we could score, so that was pleasing.
“We’re just taking the things we’re working on into the game. We gel well as a team and even when the first-team players come down we’re still settled. We’re producing the results on the park.”
Six changes were made to the team that beat Hamilton on Monday for Friday’s victory, but the Hoops still looked slick and in constant control against the Caley Jags as a string of youngsters came in to replace the first-team players who featured in the win over the Lanarkshire side.
Donnelly said the victory was testament to application of the young players pushing for first-team recognition and added that he was happy to find the net for the first time this season.
“It’s good and it shows that the first-team players help,” he said. “They add quality but we showed that we have our own quality and can carry on where we left off by winning games.
“We can take confidence from the way we played. There will be harder games to come, no disrespect to Inverness, so we need to be at our best at all times.
“Now we can take the confidence that we’re still unbeaten in the league and hopefully we can carry on with that and see how long we can go.
“It was my first goal this season and I ended last season with a lot of goals so hopefully I can carry on where I left off. It was good to get on the score-sheet but the team is the most important thing.
“I would say the No.10 role is my prefered position. I’m more of a link-up player than a goal scorer but hopefully I can add a couple of goals in as well. If I just keep working hopefully I can stay in the team.”

Can't believe Celtic Tv have stopped showing these games. :47:

It is clear from the comments on the page that supporters want to see the development sides games and not 2 minute clips.

Do the DS have a game tomorrow? I'm sure I read that somewhere...

They are apparently playing a bounce game tomorrow also to look at the boys that are in on trial, probably be a mix of u-17, 19s and the trialists.

You're joking mate, have they seriously stopped showing the development games?? That's what I thought one of the main benefits of having the * thing was!
