    Before tomorrow's Game against HJK Helsinki Joe Thompson spoke with the official Celtic website.


    JT: As a young player, these tournaments are invaluable. It helps you prepare for what you’ll one day hopefully be doing for the first-team.


    JT: You can learn a lot. It can be a higher calibre of player you meet & our U19s have a good team. Hopefully we can progress in tournament.

    JT: We had the Benfica game in Premier League International Cup last week & we can take confidence from the way we played in the second-half

    JT: We’ll need to be patient but European football at youth level can be a bit of an unknown, though we've done a lot of preparation for it.

    JT: We’ve had a good start to the league in Scotland and we’re looking to continue that form into this tournament.

    This lad is meant to be highly rated,surprised he didn't go out on loan for the season.Imo any of our youngsters who show potential at 16/17 should be sent out on loan for a couple of seasons,get some first team game time under their belts,better than youth team football.

    Not to clued up with our youth development,got a question though what is Chris McCarts duties with him being Head of Youth?does he coach etc?
