I struggle for information on the youth teams. Im bored most nights during the week and would take in a game or two if I knew where and when they were playing.

Pretty disappointing result that, with the starting 11 taken in to consideration.

I would love it if we had some wee Continental kids who go onto be superstars in a Celtic jersey.

Pick up a Ronaldinho or a Raul or a Zidane. We can dream I guess...

I hope that we start to see some of the young lads making the grade and a future 1st team, is made up of 5 or 6 former youth players.

Celtic have some very good young talent, including CB's , just that winning comes first so their opportunities are limited, The u17's played up in the u19s league ,last year, and won the treble, including the Glasgow cup for the first time in 3yrs, this is also the team that beat all the top English clubs to win the Nike tournament ,beating Chelsea in the Final, and was widely recognised as the best u17's team in the uk, so what does the head of the youth academy do at the end of the season he breaks the team up, by letting 5 of the team go, a few others asked to be released because of the poor coaching ...and that for me is where things need to change..to many of the coaches at the Academy rule by fear and self interest, they got rid of 4 forwards and now struggle to score goals, wee Mullan is a cracking player but no way a CF

Seem to be really lacking a young striker in the development squad this season after Johnstone, Atajic and Fridjonsson moved on.

Was involved with their first team squads a lot at the start of the season and made a couple of appearances for them off the bench in the league.

Think young Denny is injured at the moment, they released two very good young strikers at the end of the season, and the third one asked to be released for the same reasons young Johnstone wanted away, anyone one of these young lads would have done a better job than young Mullan, who as ive said is a very good prospect, just not a CF...Celtic have to look at the coaching Staff from the 17's up as they are not interested in developing the younger boys and would rather play the 1st team fringe players...anyone who watches the development side on a regular basis can see this.

Coaches at the development level would have very little say if first team players drop into their squads it would be mostly down to Ronny and his assistants deciding they wanted fringe players getting game time.

That's a fare point Priest, but my gripe is with the likes od Twardzik, Fisher, Herron (injured) to name a few, what are these guys learning playing in the u20's/development squad, surely it would make more sense putting these guys out on loan, let them get 1st team experience which would benefit the player and Celtic, this would in turn allow development of the 17 & 18yr olds coming through, as it stand just now these lads are standing at th side of the park watching 1st team players and fringe players going through the motions, move the fringe players on or allow them to go on loan, surely that's what development is all about..
