Tend to just look in here rather than post…
I tend to take photographs abd never have time to properly look at and appreciate them.

.. but here’s a few from a recent trip to far away places.

Me and Ruby were very tired after a huge walk right into a superb Glen. I got cracking views of a singing Ring Ouzel, a White Tailed Eagle, 2 Red Kites, 4 Kestrels,Sparrowhawk, Buzzards and a fine male Goshawk.:83:

Also a fine summer plumaged Red Throated Diver, 2 Ravens, stonechats, wheatears , a common lizard and for my good friend a Peacock Butterfly:84:

Me and Ruby Roo could not get on some fine Moorland because of cows and their calves. We tried too different places to enter, but was far to dangerous.

So a very different walk took place and we had plenty of fun walking a long the magnificent Spey.
I got a cool Greenshank, and a cool pair of Linnets, both species new for me up here in my luxury patch. Plenty of Brown Hare about, Ruby loved that.

The highlight though was a fantastic singing Whinchat, what a handsome bird. Also the Swallows are really back in force now. A Sparrowhawk was also noted.

Ruby thoroughly deserved her sausage and egg as extras. Tomorrow we are doing a big Hill slog and Golden Eagle, Merlin and Ptarmigan are the targets.

I brought my trailcam in from the woods yesterday after it being in the woods for the last few days, it triggered a few times with Mice in for a free feed being the culprits, it triggered again for a fine big Badger, (i don't know if it's the same Badger as last week) it also went off for what i was hoping to see, a big Pine Marten called for a treat.
I haven't a clue how to post video on here, any pictures i post on here i have to resize to under 1 mb before i can post them but i don't know about video, so if any TCers have any advice on how to ...

    Thanks

    just realised I didn’t add any info…

The first is (I believe) a Red Cheeked Bul-Bul - taken in Mauritius

The second is a Red Fody (like a colourful sparrow) taken in the Seychelles.

The others are a Brown Lemur in Northern Madagascar.

Well today is the last full day of me and Ruby Roo’s latest highland visit and we finished in brilliant style on a big Hill walk,

A trip of 3 Dotterel stole the show today, my first since 2017 and my first in the highlands since 1998!!! Superb birds.

Before that I got a cracking pair of Ptarmigan. Yes they superbly handsome birds and my first since 2019.

Also seen were plenty of Mountain Hares and a cool White Tailed Eagle. Me and Ruby Roo are both very tired.

Tomorrow we will do a 4.40-8.40am walk near a classic big marsh.

I saw a deer,it was dead and lying at side of the road.Do the councils not pick them up or do they just leave them there so other animals can eat them?

I think the council collect them, they do if there's a dead dog or Cat lying by the side of the road, i imagine it would be likewise for a big animal like a Deer.
