Your Wildlife Sightings!

Couple of I.D.s for John and Pete, the wee fella on the left in the 1st pic, and the Duck was hanging around a flock of Teal but seemed to be a lot lighter in colour to the other female teals.

 

The wee fella on the top left is cool juvenile Ruff and other is a female Teal, sometimes they can be a bit lighter coloured

PS Ruffs are cool

One I took with my phone one evening during the summer, it's actually the Sunset reflected on the erse of a Fly sitting on my knee.......

 

Just to follow up on that previous post, here's the view of that same sunset, taken facing towards it within seconds of the 'flies erse' photo......

Edit - this is a better (not zoomed in) one from the same date, it seems darker because I'm pointing my phone at the Sun, but it's taken moments after the fly one.

I'm flattered that you should say so Johniebhoy, because that was just me messing about with my phone. You're photos on the other hand, are actually outstanding !!!

Brief background on the fly's erse thing...... It was hopping from one body part of mine to the next, and generally just trying it's best to annoy me, but it was getting no response as I literally "wouldn't hurt a fly". When it settled on my knee after a while, I got my phone and went to take a picture........as I zoomed in I said to my missus "* * !! Look how cool that * is close up", my missus looked and could see it clearer from her angle looking at the phone from the side, whereas I had the Sun reflecting on the screen the way I was holding it, she turned round to look at the sunset then turned back and said "you can see the sunset on it like a mirror!!" I took the photo and the fly fecked off....... when I looked at the photo later (without the glare of the Sun) I was like "what the !!!!"...... I thought she was taking the * when she said about the reflection of the Sunset, but it * was.

Before anyone starts, or tells me that the reflective qualities of a Greenbottle's erse aren't clear enough to see in blah blah blah...... I'm telling you, if you showed me a blown-up version of that photo of that fly's erse......... I'd recognise that reflection as the sunset from my regular viewing spot.
